As a Norwegian, I honestly hope that the national dish will be changed to “Komle”. It’s potato and flour balls with sausages, bacon and mashed root veggies, and honestly, it’s heaven compared to meatballs (meatballs still hits hard though). Fårikål isn’t really liked by anyone except people over 50. Still, I hope it gets changed, since Komle is just so much better than Fårikål. (I think there are better pictures of Fårikål out there though)
I had norwegian pork ribbe for xmas last year and it’s so good. Bit sad that a lot of norwegians prefer frozen grandiosa pizza to their national dish though
As a Norwegian, atleast my family wil ALWAYS take Ribbe instead of grandiosa to Christmas, but not every family might have the recipe, or skills to make it, or they are just flat out too lazy to make it, which is sad since this dish is amazing.
As a Swede so cannot I allow either of those foods win, sure both are good. But the "holiday food" of Sweden should win, Potato; Egg and herring/spam(ham, for those like me who don't like herring), this is what food we have to very holiday.
