It’s illegal to fly kites in India because in some states (at least in my state) people apply melted glass (manjaa) to make their threads sharp and use it cut other people’s kite thread off (it’s kinda of a local competition) because of this there have been many accidents and deaths because the kite’s thread is so sharp it can even slit the throat of bike rides even with helmets..
A person's throat was actually cut when he was driving in a two-wheeler.
Yeah my elder sister's finger almost got cut of because of it luckily she recovered

The kite thing is quite right. They have special glass poured string so that they can cut other's kite but apparently this string sometimes makes trouble for birds and two wheelers. You are doing good, keep it up brother ❤

Singapore banned gum cause irresponsible people started to litter and stick it on the floors, walls etc. It got to the point where people put it on the MRT(Singapore's subway system) door and issues appeared. So yeah...those guys.

Yes, in Germany it's illegal to run out of gas on the autobahn, because you endanger others and yourself through your own carelessness. Remember, we have sections on the autobahn without speed limits. There are many gas stations with service areas to avoid this and if they are to pricy, Germany is very populated, the next city or even village isn't far of and you can refuel there.

The kites is actually serious. We have various occasions we all fly kites all together and apply the glass powder on the thread so that it can cut other kites. Its like a game. So oot of accidents have happened where the thread by mistake cut aomeonea throught while drving bike and allot more

As an Indian I was also confused by this video as I have never even heard of this law. I think what he meant to say was certain types of strings used to fly the kite are banned. Like the strings with melted glass on them because they are very sharp enough to cut your finger off. And this becomes a problem in India as during the kite flying season as lot of these strings just lie on the ground or lie hanging from the trees, electric poles, from one pole to another crossing the road and are hazardous to everyone including pedestrians and motorists.

Unlike most countries, flying kites is a competitive sports here, and so some people have pretty dangerous and deadly modifications on the kites (like the super sharp strings called maanja), thats why it became illegal

I didn't know we needed a permit to fly kites since people I've seen people fly kites without asking someone for a permit. I heard some rumor that some strings are made sharp and are made in China. My teacher said that he was going somewhere in a two-wheeler and he got cut in the hand by a string of a kite, he's okay since it was a small cut. (Well NVM , I just saw in the comments that some Indians make glass type strings)

the rat law in canada kinda makes sense because there has been a long successful extermination of every rat that enters the province of alberta
Interestingly, I think its a really good law that we can't eat or drink in public transport in the UAE - makes using the transport a lot easier on the labor and the citizens. Also yeah, generally not recommended to curse in public here.

I actually lost my friend 15 years ago . He fell from a 5 storey build while flying his kite. Apparently his kite got stuck at a branch. He was trying to pull out his kite while backing backwards.
