Now this is what I call a perfect video. I watch 50 soap videos daily but they all are incomplete.. Few never show a lather test of final product.. Few don't mention all ingredients,..you made another soap with freshly created soap base which was wonderful addition to this video.. Since you have done it beautifully.. So I wanted to see more bite of that pink soap created with this soap base.. Thanks.. You got a new Subscriber. Love from India 🇮🇳
I have been made my glycerin soap according to your video and i have poured the transparent mixture to my molds but till now only the outer layer solidified, it took about 6 hours but till now not solidified completely. I dont know why?
Hey new sub!! Thanks so much for the recipe,I've already made soooo many soap base, but I really think your method is the best so far,I was wondering if you have any tip in case of soap sweating, thanks again❤️❤️
Sweating is one of the biggest problems with glycerin soap as its main ingredient is glycerin, and glycerin attracts moisture. Best is to keep it wrapped in clingflim soon after unmolding and to store in a cool dry area. When using it, place it on a soap dish that has holes in the bottom so no water gathers on the soap.
Hello, very good video, I was looking for a recipe for alcohol-free glycerin base, I have a question, I don't want to use Propylene glycol, can I replace it with more vegetable glycerin? does it change the result of the soap?
Hii. Thanks for sharing us this very easy recipe... I have aquestion.. Do we have to warp it in cling film with so that is doen't sweat? Or as we like....
Opaque means no light can pass, the term you're looking for is translucent which means light passes through. You can't say opaque and then show text through the bar.
Hi, I haven’t tried a substitute yet. But you do get a more natural version of propylene glycol called Propanediol made from corn. Still need to give in a try
much better to use a pan on an induction hob you can control a better consistent temperature . Slow cookers are too slow, with an induction hob you can set a desired temp and it will get to it quickly and stay there.
Hi! Thank you for the recipe! Im just wondering if I’m able to add additives such as extracts and essential oils to it. And if so, what amount (percentage) would be the max without it affecting the base and lather
hi, you can add extracts and essential oil at 1% of the total weight, this is added right at the end before you pour. Some Essential oils can react, so test it first with a small batch of soap
Hi, not sure what about the film you are describing, naturally gylcerine soap will moisturizer the skin. And added oils will add more moisturizing properties.
Amazing, I made the same ingredients and made what I want,, I don't know how to thank you.. I have a question if I want to make a bigger quantity.. for example 1000 grams what should I do? Please see more.. my love and gratitude to you, sorry if you don't understand, I don't speak English And translate it
Hi, you could try different oils or butters but just keep in mind they all have different consistencies and melting points which would result in a softer soap
Hello there. I'm a beginner in soap making. After adding the lye solution to the oil and waiting for it to get to the gel phase, the mixture becomes harder as i wait instead of getting to that soft gel phase. Can you please tell me where i did wrong? Thanks ahead.
I'm not 100% sure why that happened but i know if the temperatures of the two products are different it will cause it to seize up a bit, but it should re-melt once everything warms ups.
Fantastic video. If I wanted to add fragrance to the entire batch before pouring would I need to reduce the alcohol or pg by the percentage fragrance I want to use or can the fragrance be added without any deductions. Also, what percentage fragrance is allowable for this recipe?
It depends on the temperature of the area it is kept. In winter, my soap will set in 30 minutes but in summer it can take 1-2 hours. You can also place it in the fridge to speed up the process but remember because of the glycerin it might sweat because it attracts moisture
Shelf life is about 12 months or longer. Soap doesn't really expire, it will get dry or crack so it is best to wrap and seal it, to prevent moisture loss.
You don't happen to have a recipe with sugar instead of sorbitol, do you? Sugar is a lot less money. I also can't find a sorbitol solution of 25%. I can find 70% but it's nearly $1 an ounce.
Alcohols can damage the skin's natural protective layer and seriously reduce the presence of the natural oils your skin needs to stay healthy. They are very drying and harsh on the skin, causing irritation and detracting from the skin's natural regeneration
This is not glycerin soap. This is coconut oil soap. I wish you contant creators would just title your videos exactly what you’re making. Glycerin soap is made with glycerin anything else.
If you read more about vegetable glycerin, you will know that it is plant-based and typically comes from soy, palm, and coconut oils. The chemical process that coconut oil undergoes in saponification produces glycerol
Another smart South African doing an outstanding job. Baie dankie dit was 'n puik video.
En ook n dankie van Chirique, Panama!

When you say 40/60 formulation, do you mean 40% oils & 60% solvents. How do you determine what percentage of each solvent you want to use?

Hi, yes you can make your own solution by dissolving 166 g sugar to 83 g water ( 2 sugar to 1 water solution). Heat it gently to dissolve completely

Hi thank you for this lovely recipe ..could u please tell me why my soap gets so dark I am cooking it on low heat ...thank you
Hi, I can only think it would be the temperature, maybe check …
Opaque means no light can pass, the term you're looking for is translucent which means light passes through. You can't say opaque and then show text through the bar.
Thank you. Question: Can we substitute Propylene Glycol for something else or delete it altogether?
Hi, I haven’t tried a substitute yet. But you do get a more natural version of propylene glycol called Propanediol made from corn. Still need to give in a try
@@soapoilsandherbs oh right ok. It would be interesting to see the physical result of that.
Thanks ❤❤

What temp do you have the slow cooker on? Slow, medium or high?
To melt the SCI I used a high heat setting. Once everything is melted you can lower to temperature to low
Do you have cheap price formula for mass production...
How many grams of soap does this recipe make? Thank you 🌸
Can this soap base be used as face wash
If I have no coco oil so can make a veg oil?
Hi, yes you can use vegetable oil
Madam 🙏 it is comparatively quickly finished then other Glycerine soap
Thank you ❤️🌹
You are so welcome
Does this soap need to cure? Or you can use it immediately?
Hi🌸 you can use it immediately but test the ph first. I like to let it rest for a week or two
Well detailed. Can this base be colored b4 the first pour. Thankx
Yes, you can. Blend your mica with a little Glycerin to blend it before adding to the main base, then add and stir gently.
Good day ma , the formula should be 100% ? right
Is it okay to mix in mica powder in the double boiler then pour
Yes, once your base is ready to pour. Blend your mica with a little glycerin then add to base
Gratitude🥰
What do I add to my vegetable glycine soap to get rid of the film it leaves on the body? I already add coconut oil for the lather and olive oil.
Hi, not sure what about the film you are describing, naturally gylcerine soap will moisturizer the skin. And added oils will add more moisturizing properties.
Hi can we add sorbitol instead to sugar solution
Yes, sorbital works well
Soap. The yardstick of civilization...
No fragrance?
Do you agree not to add propylene glycol?
🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹👍👌👌It is perfect video
Wow beautiful
What is the substitute for propylene glycol
U can use alcohol instead of glycol
How can it be soft ? Can we add water ? And how much?
The possibility of using beeswax or shea as an alternative to wax acid for the experiment ?
hola gracias por conpartir su receta
Thank you
Thanks for sharing madam bliss you
Can we use immediately after making or we have to wait fot 6 weeks .
I am also interested in knowing the answer to this question.
Yes you can use immediately after making ❤️
Yes, you can. This is a hot process, so you have already "cooked" out the lye. Once the soap has set, you can use it.

Steric acid ,What’s that for ?
To harden the soap as i watch the other video by Chaty. If you didnt have it. I think its okay.

It's much easier to buy glycerin soap n call it a day.
Did you say why alcohol free glycerin soap is beneficial?
Alcohols can damage the skin's natural protective layer and seriously reduce the presence of the natural oils your skin needs to stay healthy. They are very drying and harsh on the skin, causing irritation and detracting from the skin's natural regeneration
It is easier to buy, but it’s nicer to make something you know what’s inside and it’s a relaxing hobby too
شكرا لك
well Glycerin is actually an alcochol

Sorry..! soap base..should be used after a one month or one days
This soap base can keep for months, maybe even a year or 2. If it is kept wrapped in cling film, it should last a long time.
Propylene glycol is worse than alcohol. I don't know why you opted for something worse for the skin and environment.
