The point is because Gorman strikes out 45% of the time and he’s damn near 50% below league average.. and if Walker can give you anything close to 20% above league average like last year that’s almost 70% swing there way worth it

Over this last series I watched three tag outs at second that didn't get made? Two of those throws was right on the money from Contreras? Gorman needs to go down, Walker needs to come up. Cut Crawford and bring Saggese or Prieto.

We all knew the BroNeill trade was going to be a disaster. Mo even knew it! I’m getting really tired of how this organization is run. Development of players has been a big problem lately!
Not just "Lately" Dix.....This has been going on for a few years now.
Let Walker gain more confidence. Mo has let it be known that when they call up Walker again, it will be for good. Long term, let him finish the season in AAA.
Tyler O'Neil has yet to show consistency. When he has back to back seasons like this, then I will sit up and take notice. By the way, he's on the IL again.

I am still bummed about O'Reilly but I understand. Last time I was this bummed was when they wouldn't leave Pham alone about his eyes and he was gone. But came back around and maybe someday on O'Neill.
Sorry Nootbaar needs to go down he can't play left or center so that creates a big jam in right with Burleson playing right when Contreras dh or Pham in right if Burleson plays first and his bat is terrible so we have no space for him

The Cardinals seem determined to make every wrong move where Walker is concerned. Hard to believe this is the same organization that was the model for other MLB teams 15 to 20 years ago.

As much as it pains me, the Cardinals are toast in this season/s playoff bartring a 1964 surge, which is really impossible. The offense is just far too inconsistent, The Cardinals just don't have an explosive quality and rarely bounce back when they fall from behind. Pitching is modest at best,

The Cardinals of the past three or four years remind me of the Cardinals teams from the 70s and the late 90s that had become stagnant. Cardinal organization needs a major shake up. I can see them getting rid of the GM the head coach and a third of the team. They also need to look into their minor-league system because it has not been producing quality players. They need to bring in some new talent from outside the organization with a new way of looking at things and new ideas.
The old cardinals have died off they used to be around these young guys talking hitting and pitching

If I was the GM I would trade Walker while his value is still fairly high I would deal him off for reasonably young proven controllable players at whatever positions needed. Walker should end up being a solid player, but to me he is bit overrated.

A good manager would have this team tailgating the brewers for 1st place. Mike Shildt doesn't have a better team in San Diego, he's a much better manager than Marmol.

Send Walker back to AAA. He did nothing to deserve a call-up, and should have finished the season there.

How is Victor Scott doing "good"? .211 since he came back. .115 for the Cards on the season. Even at AAA was only hitting .219. AT LEAST at AAA, he Stole Bases.....doesn't even do that w/ the Cards.

JD, it was time for Tyler O'Neill to go regardless of the aftermath. We all know that if Tyler had continued to play for the Cardinals nothing would have changed. He still would have been injured periodically and he never would have achieved his full potential here. I'm glad that he is doing well with Boston.
Nope.....even if they were pessimistic, they were dealing him at TOO LOW of a Value. If what Boston offered was the BEST they were going to get, he was still under contract, you bring him back........and IF he'd've been healthy to start the season - which he was as he tore it up and made us regret not having him as ALL of Noot, Edman, Carlson were all on the IL to begin the season. He'd've built up his value and gotten a good return in Trade in June or July. Let alone the fact, that the Cardinals would probably be something like 6 or 7 gms. over .500 right now instead of just 2 gms. over.
