Just walked the amazing East Midtown Greenway Walk in NYC! This brand-new path offers stunning views of the East River and is a fantastic option for pedestrians and cyclists.
Opened: Recently opened in late 2023
Location: East River waterfront, between 53rd and 61st Streets, Manhattan, NYC
Length: Eight blocks long
Function: Creates a continuous pedestrian and bicycle path along the East River

Thanks for the update on the improvement of access and walkability along the East River. It would have been helpful for the record to show and orient the viewer as to if this walkway is directly connected to the island of Manhattan or if there a gap, where the river separates the elevated walkway to the adjoining properties and/or FDR Drive.
