... hello! 👋 ... wow!- l never knew of the benefits or even existence of MB until recently... and I just discovered and viewed your video here and have an interest in purchasing MB powder and making a solution of MB for human consumption- so a couple/few questions for you... are you familiar with utilizing MB for human consumption?... if so- how about making a formulation (from powder) for such purpose (what difference(s) in the ingredients/quantities/process?) - can you provide a formulation or a reference source?... thank you so much for your interest and contribution in making the world a better place to live and thrive!...
@@BrewingViking ... well l commend you on what you do know and help to enlighten the rest of us... keep up the great work and once (if?) you do join the ranks of those sharing the potential/possible/demonstrated biological function enhancements of MB for human consumption- l hope you will let us know of your doing so- and treat us to your knowledge - as you have with this video👍🏻...
You can mix it with straight water if you are going to use if fairly soon. The KOH is there to make it shelf stable. I don't know if you can use NaOH instead.
Good video but you dont get KOH from Caustic Soda (NaOH). Caustic Soda (or lye) is NaOH, not KOH. To make a KOH solution, you need KOH tablets. You can also get it at pH probe holding solution.
Excellent point. I must find the recipe again and see if I said the wrong ingredient or wrote the wrong one. Either way, it will be corrected. Great catch!
Thanks for the video. Assume that this recipe make a 1% methylene blue solution. In the second video you don't specify how much methylene blue and distilled water is used. You only state that the test tube is 9 ml of methylene blue and distilled water. Is it 1 ml of your 1% solution plus 8 ml of distilled water or what is the ratio ? Appreciate your clarification.
Hi, If you look in the video description you will see the following recipe: The recipe: 0.5 g Methylene Blue 100 ml Distilled Water 30 ml Denatured Alcohol / Ethanol 1 ml 1% KOH solution Hope that helps :)
so you say where to buy distilled water at the super market but dont say anything about the methylene blue in the things you would need when you listed them at the start?
It's Potassium Hydroxide used as alkaline preservative. Not for human consumption. He is making a stain to look at yeast under a microscope. This video is from six years ago, before the interest in human consumption. You need to look elsewhere
can me use date seed powder for making methylene blue solution. Case study conclustion: - In this study, synthesis of novel natural substance based magnetic nanocomposite (Fe3O4@date seeds powder) was successfully carried out using a simple co-precipitation method. The FT-IR spectrum of the synthesized nanocomposite has revealed the formation of magnetic nanocomposite through interaction between the functional groups of date seeds organic framework and Fe3O4 nanoparticles. The Fe3O4@date seeds powder nanocomposite was utilized for methylene blue dye removal from water through adsorption. The adsorption results suggested that high adsorption capacity of magnetic nanocomposite for methylene blue dye. The highest adsorption capacity was calculated from the Langmuir isotherm was found to be approximately 76.652 mg g1 at 27 C. The best fitted isotherm model is the Freundlich, which suggested the multilayer adsorption of MB on the heterogeneous surface of Fe3O4@date seeds powder
Hello, where can I find the reference for this preparation? So far, I have searched online and found different methods also using dihydrate citrate.
Thank you the sells are going to be booming
Is this a 1% solution? If not, what solution % is it? Thanks

Unfortunately, I don't know anything about MB for humans :)

@@joetoe9947 if you find anything on how to make MB for human consumption please share, thank you!
what is this a 0.1% solution if not what is it?
Is it for fish treatment?
No, it is for staining yeast cells to see which ones are alive and which ones are dead.
@@BrewingViking thank you for your information...
THIS PREPARATION IS USED FISH MEDICINE
Great video - what's the purpose of the KOH, and can NaOH be substituted?
Thanks for the vids!

I was wondering when you were going to add the beer 🍺 🤣
That would not be a great idea ☺️ Be careful with that powder. It stains like crazy!

Also in small doses it improves memory considerably and prevents oxidation better than anything.

Where did you get the recipe from?
It was a Siebel institute class.

Sorry! I purchased it on eBay. There are currently 13 results for a Methylene Blue search on eBay. I hope that helps

Hahaha! You shouldn't have used methylamine :) It was supposed to be Methylene ;)

The point of this video should be what solution you made...i guess this is a mystery to everyone not counting yeast.
Breaking bed fans here?
I have broken a bed or two, but I think you mean Breaking Bad/ It is methylamine in the show. So close :)
U made methylene solution and instead of it u are drinking some other liquid why?
