The Dewitt Chapple Memorial Special - AAPRCO Convention 2024 Chase on the Finger Lakes Railway

Hello & Welcome to GT Rail Fan Productions!
On June 15th, 2024, ‎CHQ Rails, Midnight Mainline, & I would venture out to the Finger Lakes Railway to document the American Association of Private Rail Car Owners Convention of 2024. It would be coined the name "The Dewitt Chapple Memorial Special". From June 11th to June 15th, the Convention would be taking place. On the 11th, Amtrak would run the train from Albany NY to Solvay NY (Syracuse NY), where the train would be interchanged with the FGLK. It would then run west to Canandaigua NY where the train would tie down and allow the passengers to enjoy the festivities for the next few days before heading back to Albany on the 15th.
On Saturday, the 15th, we would chase the AAPRCO Convention 2024 Train from Canandaigua NY, all the way to East Syracuse NY. We would manage to capture the train making multiple stops. They would stop at Shortsville NY for a tour of the Lehigh Valley Railroad Historical Society for a scheduled 45 minutes, next at Geneva for some unknown reason, then at Cayuga for an unexpected 2-Photo Runbys, then the last stop being at Martisco Station for a tour of the Station & 1 Photo Runby, before trekking to Solvay Yard for Amtrak to take over. We would manage to get 1 shot of Amtrak pulling the train in East Syracuse before calling it a day. We did chase the Buffalo & Pittsburgh's Train SIBF the previous day, which surprisingly made it up to Buffalo in Daylight so stay tuned for that video!
