I love being a collector..I reside here in Indiana,not too far from Chicago,but far enough to get mail service..I order from Ringside Collectibles and I get my ish in 3 days max..Unc, sometimes you just gotta watch what ya buy and who ya buy off of.💯
I agree with you Unc. It's crazy out here with these toy prices, and my check ain't gone up to afford all that. Boycotting toys would be a solution to get these toy companies' eyes opened up. The trouble is no one wants to go through the work! I mean you would think not buying toys is easy stuff, just stay out of the toy aisles. But that requires a whole lot of people working together, and a lot of communication has to be had, and everybody has to agree on, and it has to be on a HUUUUUUUUUGE scale in order for anything to happen, and if one person falters then the whole movement goes up in flames. So, until we can all come together as a unit, this whole boycotting thing is just D.O.A.
Doing deals at the police station is a smart move. My local police state even has a special parking spot where people can meet up to do safe deals in public, it's safer for both the buy and seller.
While I do enjoy "locking items in" by ordering them online. There's definitely something special about the "thrill of the hunt". Especially when it's an item known for having QC problems or bad paint apps that I can check on the spot, buying in person is better.
That’s why you do research on what you’re interested in buying. Too many RUclipsrs who get figures early and review them, to not have the information you need prior to buying (preorder or in store)
I went to ROSS recently and found a few figures for the Low, and I found one of the DragonBall All Stars figures, it was the Trunks, but the box had a Huge hole in the front, So I brought it up front and said "Hey I still wanna buy this but it has a hole, could i get some type of discount for it being damaged" it was $15 and I still offered to pay $10 for it . She said "Best we can do is 10% off" which was only like $1.25 off... I said y'all can keep that broken ass toy, good luck with that. They could've made $10 by selling something that had a Hole in the Box but they are greedy, Trying to create deals and bargan but they don't care.
