I have a feeling that “Midnight Library” is a perfect October read. Maybe because I read it in October last year or maybe because of the feeling it gives, and the vibe the book has. It also has magical realism, so I think it’s perfect for autumn to sprinkle a little bit of magic ✨✨✨
I literally just finished it and I loved it. I'm in a very stressful period of my life and that book brought me so much comfort. Reading it feels like a big 'everything will be okay' hug. It made me feel so much better about my life and my future

I would recommend as an Octobery read The shadow of the wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon. It's a gothic novel that takes places in Barcelona. It has romance, mistery, a little thriller ... It's just wonderful 🥰

I’m so happy that you read Things we lost in the fire, Mariana Enriquez is so incredibly talented and this book sure hits different being Argentinian, a lot of our history (and not a good one exactly) is portrayed here, and the language of the book has words and phrases that are impossible to translate because it is so ours. Anyway, I hope you can read her other books because all of them are great, especially “Our part of the night/Nuestra parte de noche”
Oh my word! Okay, so it’s been a crazy year and I haven’t read anything nor have I been watching any BookTube recently. But last I saw a video of yours you were at like 40-50k (been following since you were around 10k). It seems like this was only six months or so ago, but, like I said, it’s been a year. So imagine my surprise when I come back and you’re at 176k!!! Wow! Absolutely well deserved, but wow! That’s insane growth! Congratulations!!!
The most atmospheric autumnal book I’ve ever read is by far The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. You will be completely transported into the story, feeling the crisp air and smelling the caramel popcorn when you read this.
your hair looks sooooo nice omg!!! also I love that you had a good reading month.. this month was rough for me. I also read her body and other parties this month… I can’t say I was much of a fan, unfortunately. I was disappointed bc i really wanted to enjoy it. Glad you had a good time reading! ☺️
Something Wicked This Way Comes by Ray Bradbury is SO autumnal and I love the creepy carnival vibes. Other horror recs are Lovecraft Country by Matt Ruff, Survivor Song by Paul Tremblay, and The Girl In Red by Christina Henry but none of them are particularly autumnal! Also you should totally DNF The Rocks if you're disliking it that much. Life's too short to read books you don't enjoy!
I think the book that haunted me the most so far is 'The Package' by Sebastian Fitzek who is a brilliant german author. And for fall vibes, I always love to reread Dead Poets Society because it always gives me major fall aesthetics
Imaginary friend by Stephen Chbosky!! My favorite book & my first EVER reread. Think Coraline meets Nightmare on Elm street 🖤💜 it’s perfect for cooler weather & the perfect spooky vibe!
I love your hair in this video so much!!! Oh, and the most autumnal book I've ever read is The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater, I definitely recommend it for October
@@bringmejoy77 that's fair! I'm from the Pacific northwest where fall is gloomy and rainy pretty much all the way through, so that's what I associate with autumn lol
Noellllleeeee hello just want to send you so much love and a reminder you are valued you matter and there are many people who love you and are grateful for your wonderful existence! I’m so grateful for you and your channel.
Noelle!!! You got me back into reading last year when the pandemic hit. You also opened me up to new genres I never would have touched years ago. I wish you good health and joy (:
OMG I one HUNDRED PERCENT agree with everything about the love hypothesis. ive been telling people i cannot BELIEVE there wasn't an "i love you" "i love you too" and then getting HIS reaction to her FINALLY falling in love with him after 2 years. anyway thank you for sharing!! im so glad I wasn't the only one who didnt enjoy this book for all those same reasons.
I'm going to pick "We were villians" today and I'm so so excited.I've heard so many good things about it. Ps: I'm new on this channel & I loved this video. I got so many good recs✨
If you're in a light-hearted, magical mood, I would suggest Howl's Moving Castle or The Girl Who Drank the Moon. Both are targeted more toward middle school readers but the characters and stories are really good. I'm planning to read Frankenstein during October and have heard nothing but good things about it. I've also heard that The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires and Atlas Six are pretty good and have that october/spooky and atmospheric/autumnal feel. Can't wait to see what you read in October!
I always start my month with my TBR set, then Noelle uploads a recap and I have to throw my TBR in the garbage and reads what she likes, that's how I read A thousand ships and I loved it, I'm also going trough some of her videos to make my "spooky" October's TBR, I'm so excited for October

One of my favorite things about watching your wrap-ups/reviews is how palpable your excitement is even through the screen!! I have picked up more than one book just based how excited and joyful you got from talking about it! I've also been looking for autumnal reads for October, and one of the ones I decided to buy that seemed like it fit that bill is The Ex Hex by Erin Sterling, which is supposed to be like a fun, lighthearted witchy romance. :)
for recs, I have to say the diviners by libba bray! I know you dont really read fantasy but its pretty light on that anyway and it is set in the 1920s and involves ghosts and its just a spooky time that I think you'll love!!!
I feel like I remember you enjoyed Writers and Lovers by Lily King, and since you’re on a short story collection kick, you should know she has a collection coming out in November! It’s called Five Tuesdays in Winter. I got an eARC and it was so good!!!
Loving your hair and love the earrings. Also your background is so pretty 🤩 Book recommendation : They never learn. A thriller . I loved the book and it definitely gives the autumn vibes
I just read 'Perfume: The Story of a Murderer' for the first time and I absolutely loved it! It is horrifying and gruesome but so engaging. Here is the first sentece to spark your interest: “In eighteenth-century France there lived a man who was one of the most gifted and abominable personages in an era that knew no lack of gifted and abominable personages.”
I LOVED Float Plan. I read it over the summer and still think about it all the time 😍not spicy at all but I thought the themes or grief and love and perseverance and believing in yourself hit hard. And I thought the main couple was so sweet and believable. My second ever 5-star romance. And as someone who lost a parent to suicide… the anger and life long crippling pain of feeling abandoned is real, no matter how unfair. Especially if you haven’t been to therapy
I don’t think I’ve ever seen you read graphic novels, but I read Sheets by Brenna Thummler in the summer and it made me so excited for fall leaves and cooler weather. The art style is gorgeous and a cute, light hearted story!
First of all, absolutely LIVING for your look in this. Secondly, that quick zoom edit when you said "feeding" made me choke on my coffee. And lastly, for scary eerie books, The Silent Patient! It lives permanently in the back of my mind now, so freaking goooood
