- "Extra's" Renee Bargh was in San Diego for the 2016 Comic-Con catching up with "The Vampire Diaries" stars Ian Somerhalder, Matt Davis, and Candice King.
Since they were at Comic-Con, Renee had to get the cast members' craziest stories from the convention, and Ian's definitely took the cake. It involved the actor getting pinned against a wall by his neck by a six-foot tall fan dressed as Wonder Woman and it ended with her giving him a kiss.
The stars also opened up about the show's final season, and how they hope it has a happy ending. Check it out!

Poor Ian, all i read here are rude comments about the way he talks, what he says, that he should shut up. Can you stop !? He is a great and intelligent person. He try to put all his ideas in a correct way and, yeah, sometimes he goes out of the point of conversation but that is something that happen to a lot of people.

Personally I think Ian got defesive about the who Nikki / Nina stuff because of how fans acted. Nikki is his wife regardless of how we feel. And alot of the scenes with Nina were steamy. Oh God, what did Nikki do to Ian? Since they married, he thinks that anything he says is the most important,and everyone around is wrong. He is interrupting in pretty much every interview. I think, that Ian was really nice person when he was with Nina, because she used to bring out his fun side. Even though they broke up, Ian was still ''ok'" in 2013-14, idk how to call it. And now? If anyone says something about love he suddenly becomes 'mad' (?) and discuss with others. Ok, I know Elena reminds him about Nina, but Elena is a fiction, just a character created by Julie, so is Damon and Delena. He needs to seperate his private life with his work. He isn't the most important in the whole cast as he thinks, so he can't change all the show. The truth is that TVD is all about love,and vampires, witches and all that stuff is kind of a background for it.Of course it's really important in this show, but please, don't tell me that's not truth. For example let's compare it with Teen Wolf, obviously 2 very different shows, but about supernatural beings. In Teen Wolf the main theme is friendship in a pack, which fight and protect the world from evils. Of course there are couples, but in one episode you can see maybe 1-2 minutes about them. In TVD, there are even whole episodes for couples, everything is about love there. And truth is that Delena is one of the main themes there. We could see Delena growing up slowly nearly in every episode, even in season 1. And Delena is Julie's favourite and Ian knows it and it makes him so mad. He was so rude about Elena/Nina/Delena/anything related to these on both comic cons, 2015-2016. Especially in 2015, when they were talking about Elena's death and Ian said ''She's just taking a nap'' in an ironic way. And any time they were talking about Elena/Delena, he was interrupting and trying to change the subject. He clearly made his point, that he doesn't want to work with Nina, which is why Nina left the show, because Ian is acting like a diva any time when he hears Elena, though is just a character. But actually I feel little sorry for him, just look at him when he was talking about Nikki :/ Clearly he's not as happy, I mean I don't know obviously, but he doesn't seem to. Which ''happy husband'' just after 1 year after wedding is telling without any emotions on his face, that his marriage is ''freakin' amazing?'' He knows, that Nina was his true love and he knows that now everything is gone, because he was so desperate to show Nina that she doesn't mean anything to him anymore by marrying her friend, but unfortunately he's lying to himself. I think he can't handle the fact, that Nina moved on with her life, she's happy, while he is stucked with his typical wife, you know, mother of the kids and blah blah, but Ian seems to miss Nina, because she is crazy, spontaneus and funny. But they broke up, because Ian wanted to settle down, so now he has what he wanted.
