Hi TO, great pair of videos on the mesh repeater. There's just not enough mesh info out there, so it's great to see your channel jumping in, especially on the tech side. One note, I've set up and updated the firmware on two devices via Firefox with no issues.
Thanks, the RAK devices should do well with Firefox (it's just saving a file to disk vs. some serial connection). I'm just trying to keep it simple-ish for new folks.
Please only use repeater/router role on high locations such as on top of mountains or tall towers. This has created many routing issues where people are using these roles for nodes that are just on top of the roof of their house and creating additional hops which limits the range of the Mesh. This has become such a problem that the Meshtastic developers are removing the ROUTER_CLIENT role from future firmware.

Hi, looks like it might not be that easy to flash it when it is working on the roof. Any idea if it is possible to flash it remotely?
It's my understanding that it's not currently possible
It would be better to get familiar with the terminology of node instead of calling it a repeater
