I loved how they had commander mode on any tablet. It wasn’t anything we had asked for, but they threw it in there to expand the game to have someone lead or look over the battle field. IMO, such an under looked value that was added to this masterpiece.

Mr slender2 What I note that other people don't (or at least I haven't heard much of it) is that Battlefield 1 has a different gameplay style's sensation. It does feel more limited. Not just because of the limitations of the weapons and vehicles of the era. If Battlefield 1 had modern vehicles like helicopters and weapons like RPG it would still feel the same limited-movement. It's like the soldier seems to be clumsy, moving themselves and using weapons. Like a Battlefront style (something I even noted when I probed Battlefield Hardline back then) which is even closer to COD's than Battlefield. It's not classic Battlefield gameplay. However I liked Battlefield 1 in the sense it brought something different. And I didn't mind Battlefield V to be based on WW2. But the fact is I do not like the direction DICE is going on: talking about gameplay style and thematic realism too. Battlefield 3 and 4 felt with free movement. That's why I loved Battlefield saga: because of its gameplay. Not just because graphics and huge maps and destruction. For me, for the recent games: Battlefield 3 > Battlefield 4 >> Battlefield 1 >>> Battlefield Hardline = What we've seen from Battlefield V PD: I think the word I was trying to find is "gunplay feeling"
I disagree. There have been battlefield games in the past which have always been hit or miss. the most recent games (bfv and 2042) have definitely had horrible launches but dont forget their successes like bf3, 4 and 1.
8 years later I come back to this video. This game still has that battle feel. It's tough to think if a battlefield game will ever come close to this masterpiece. I've now started a new account in hopes of maxing it out like my other account.

BF 2042 needs more environmental details DICE. You made your own reference with BF4. Sheets of paper on the ground, cluster of broken walls on the ground, broken metal pieces etc.
One of the most memorable moments from my childhood, was watching this for the first time and not knowing this would be one of my top games for the rest of my life

Most fun out of BF4 is when you end up with a squad that actually play together as a squad. You run together like comrades to the next site like in rush, ride on the same vehicle to get to positions, and just plain teamwork. The worst is when you get the assholes who don't revive you, give you a medic kit, or ammo box. Fuck those guys.

To be fair this was from E3 so it was heavily choreographed like almost all E3 multiplayer trailers.

I was just counting the times he would have died in my head. Ran up to a firing line.. dead.. dead. The chopper would have killed his entire squad at the lobby of C... dead. Then again at the top of C, they all would have been gunned down, dead. Then again at C when they ran UP to the opposing team's firing line reloading, dead....

God, I remember this trailers coming out and I must've rewatched it a hundred times.
Most fun out of BF4 is when you end up with a squad that actually play together as a squad. You run together like comrades to the next site like in rush, ride on the same vehicle to get to positions, and just plain teamwork. The worst is when you get the assholes who don't revive you, give you a medic kit, or ammo box. Fuck those guys.
sadly enough, 90% of the time you end up with assholes :(
