The Manimahesh Yatra is a muti day pilgrimage to the holy Manimahesh Lake in the Himalayas. The trek is a test of faith and devotion, and is a challenge that attracts both devout Hindus and adventure seekers. The journey is believed to wash away sins and bring devotees closer to Lord Shiva.
The 2023 Manimahesh Yatra will be held from September 6 to September 30.
The Bharmour administration has made pre-registration online or on the spot mandatory for the annual Manimahesh Kailash Yatra.
Devotees believe that a view of the Kailash peak is only possible if the Lord is pleased. Bad weather, when the peak is hidden behind clouds, is a sign of the Lord's displeasure.
