- I can barely believe I'm typing this, but I played against the legendary JOHN CARMACK in Beat Saber multiplayer! The dude is a shredder on Expert+... but can he hang with yours truly?! Today we're finding out once and for all if I can hang with the former CTO of Oculus himself!

I've had a couple goes at Beat Saber with him as well, I was lucky enough to get into one ession where I spectated and one play session with him. Seems like he is playing most days of the week. The rule most people have been observing is to pop in for a couple songs, then jump out to let others in to play, since its a 5 person game. He challenged me to practice up and tonight I played him and managed to keep up so I was really happy to have played with him. John has a heart of gold.
Awesome!. I'm not about that Beat Saber life personally, but playing Carmack at _anything_ is legit AF.
I guess to me, an equivalent would be playing Carmack at DOOM VFR or something lol.

He and I are actually pretty close on a bunch of songs
So you are just playing and not talking to eachother and shaking the cam like crazy at the final result.... That was awful to watch and felt not different than the million other beat saber vids on here, even with someone as awesome as JC attached to it.
Yeah Oculus could really benefit from some better spectator tools
