Advise : getting the student finance application should be done so much earlier, like May/June .
I hope you can still have it , for sure but next year they ( Student finance team) will contact you around May , or even earlier, to ensure that you are moving to the next academic year without problems .

i have an unconditional but i’m still so stressed with the uncertainty around results. according to the guardian, 40% of people are moving down a grade to what their teachers predict and we can’t even appeal for reconsideration.

Han1 i applied to Bath, Kent, Warwick, imperial and Loughborough. Got offers for Bath, Kent and Loughborough, interview for imperial but I didn’t go to it and rejected from Warwick (but didn’t wanna go there anyway 😂)

I got into uni through clearing last year and I cannot recommend strongly enough to plan the day before. Make sure you have all the relevant info like phone number for clearing, course name, course code, results, things like that

Love this video! It’s so informative about University in the current climate. If you are trying to make a student budget, Save the Student have a page where you can see the average cost of things such as Groceries, Bills etc. for your specific university which is very helpful xx

trying to get into midwifery (i’m a y14, redid y12 after moving) and hearing how they’re slashing grades and how scotland went is making me think ill need an extra year to do an access course😭 terrified doesn’t cover it

LMAOOO. i had plan A, B, C and D. All 4 went out the window. A- firm. B- insurance. C- clearing. D- Resit year 13 (I wouldn't be ready for autumn exams). I was rejected from my firm and inurance and most unis i wanted to go to wouldnt take me in clearing until my appealed grades would come back. Then my sixth form said they would be full and that getting back in would be hard. Butttt I've now been accepted to a uni. Most stressful 3 days of my life

As I will be travelling from home to university, how would my "bubble" work? Got my finance sorted out last month. I would recommend getting s spreadsheet. I managed to download a free templates and I work around that. I think I will redo my CV (again 😂😂).
Your uni will probably have information on this so check the website. I know that Uni of Leeds does and you can access it from the homepage of their website. Also it will most likely just mean you will have to social distance from everyone as the bubble thing is basically just saying like this is your new household. Hope I could help x
Hi Eve! I've been trying to do some uni prep but I haven't done any work since May so I'm finding it really difficult to get back into the study mindset, do you have any advice/tips?
Results day is so messed up for me this year. I am from Northern Ireland and I applied through both UCAS and CAO (the application process for Republic of Ireland universities). I hope to go to University College Cork in Ireland and I was hoping that my back up would be the University of Aberdeen. However, the Irish Leaving Certificate results (equivalent to UK A Levels) will not be given out until the 7th September and Offers from the universities in Ireland will not be given out until a few days after the 7th September, possibly the 11th September. But Im still from the UK so I will still be getting my A Level results on the 13th August. I will have to wait a full month from when i get my results to find out if I have even got in to my chosen university. In that space of time I would have to decline Aberdeen's offer because the response date would pass before I knew if I got into UCC or not. 🙃 not loving life
That’s such a shit situation honestly. I’m just annoyed that we have to wait so long for our results in Ireland 😂 You definitely have a bigger problem

@@Jessica-jr2ir i feel the exact same Jessica. Anothing thing is is that if i dont get my grades for UCC its gonna be harder to reapply next year because Northern Ireland students will possibly only be treated as EU citizens this year by the Dáil. Brexit fucks everything up further.
Cara Marie Yeh I have a lot of friends who applied to universities through UCAS from the republic who were planning on taking a year out after this whole situation who realised now that if they wait till next year their fees would skyrocket because of Brexit. If you do manage to get to UCC I’m sure you’ll love it though I know a lot of people who have gone there or who are going this year and it’s a really great Uni. Cork is a beautiful city too. Good luck with everything anyway I hope it works out for you

I am so scared about the bubble thing because people in my uni group chat are saying they won’t social distance and they won’t stop having parties just because of corona and it scares me so much. I’ve gone this long without getting it and someone is bound to have it. I’m honestly so anxious about it.

a othe rpeople joined a facebook group but i did it by going through the third party student accommodation app that my accommodation is with which connects us to our flat mates.

a I found a gc for my course as well but a lot of it is on fb so I would strongly recommend getting an account just so you can talk with other flat mates/uni members

Yes, once you have confirmation of your place they will begin to prepare students for the course.

I think facebook and whatsapp are often the preferred group chats cos there aren't limits on numbers

Morgan for me, I found looking through groups on Facebook such as ‘UCAS 2020 applicants’ or university specific groups have been really useful, you can search through the group or just drop a post saying what course you’re doing - you’ll be surprised how many people are too scared to post :))
Facebook is the one that most uni societies and students use, so I'd definitely recommend it! I had a Facebook account but rarely used it before uni but I've needed it so much while at university.
Well I wish I was going to unvisty rather than going into year 12 because their is more choices and I would do a course I am granted to enjoy
