Great video, Behemoth are awesome! Can you do a reaction review video for Sinister Ghost of their song called The Dark Abyss of Omerty with a lyrical analysis please?
Aleister Crowley’s alter-ego as the harbinger of hell on earth LOL. Aleister Crowley was an English western esotericist. Perhaps unsurprisingly, is a common influence on black metal bands. Also noted for appearing on the cover of The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper album, drawing the interest of Jimmy Page, and being the subject of the Ozzy Osbourne song "Mr. Crowley." Not to be confused with Anthony J. Crowley. David Bowie's "Station to Station" from the 1976 album of the same name is partly one giant allusion to the writings of Aleister Crowley; at one point, Bowie outright namedrops White Stains. Aleister Crowley is also mentioned in Bowie's earlier song "Quicksand", drawing connections with his occult writings and the song's themes about the blurriness of belief. "Revelations" by Iron Maiden from "Piece Of Mind" references "Revelations" by Aleister Crowley. Aleister Crowley liked to call himself "the Beast 666", among other elaborate occult titles; amusingly. Aleister Crowley liked to advertise his erudition, tended to wear the best possible tailored suits, and a favourite pose was as the Laird of Boleskine, a minor Scottish nobleman lol. In Aleister Crowley's system of numerology, the number 93 was the numerical value of several significant words and phrases and has become a common salutation among followers of Thelema. He includes doing something eleven times whenever possible in his rituals. Any magical operation other than seeking contact with one's Holy Guardian Angel is black magic. Factions of successors claiming to be the only genuine OTO/Thelema/A:.A:., accept no substitutes. Echoes Aleister Crowley’s own part in the breaking of the Golden Dawn base. In Aleister Crowley's system, influencing the outside world through magick always takes a back seat to the attainment of personal enlightenment, though (in theory) one leads to the other. Aleister Crowley incorporated it into his texts, although his version of gnosticism was understandably mangled considering that he created his philosophy decades before the Nag Hammadi texts were discovered. The funny thing about his macrocosmic of Thelema is that the Thelemites themselves seem unable to decide if it is “Thel-EE-mites” or “THEL-umites”.
Very nice reaction. Behemoth is my favorite band, "The Satanist" is my favorite album and this is probably my favorite song too. It's inspired by the magic book "Liber Samekh" written by Alister Crowley. It contains the ritual he used to converse and gain knowledge from his "guardian angel". The recited part literally contains part of the spells. Nergal, the vocalist, is a follower of the "Thelema" religion, not as an active practitioner of magic but as a student of its ideas, symbols and knowledge. Yes, Satanism but... "philosophical" satanism.
For me, the best live version of this song is the "Live Warsaw" one, which was taken from their DVD Messe Noire, but the bloodstock one is good too. And you should also check out "Ora Pro Nobis Lucifer" next time.

Ora pro nubis Lucifer is way better
This version of behemoth is not their best. Check out some a little older stuff. Heavy
This was their peak. The whole album was a work of art. If you just think loud and heavy = better then I don't know what else to say to you, man.
