I set politics aside when it comes to entertainment. Music, TV, film... just give me good content. I don't care how they vote or what causes they champion. I have always liked this group. The band itself had KILLER good instrumentals. The gals' vocals had a very distinctive sound. When they "came back" from their absence, I was a little disappointed with the name change. And I haven't heard anything since they came back that was as good as when they were the "Dixie Chicks." In this particular performance they sound great live! I HAVE to wonder if any post was done before releasing this as we just heard it. p.s. To answer your question, yes. I have their "prior to being cancelled" albums Fly and Home. I STILL have "Long Time Gone, Goodby Earl, and "Ready to Run" on active playlists. I love 'White Trash Wedding,' 'Travelin' Soldier,' and 'Godspeed' on occasion. I don't have anything of their newer stuff. This was a great selection, and a great reaction!

First time listening to any Dixie Chicks song and I have no idea what the drama was for the name change but I didn't think I'd like it as much as I did. I think it was the fiddle, kind of gave it a bit of an Irish feel to it too. Stop making me like country music. 💕🤠

Really? Can you explain what woke is and how not wanting to be connected to the stigma attached to the civil war is a bad thing? It's their band and their identity. If you don't like it then don't listen. It was how they felt and they followed their hearts which should be respected rather than ridiculed.
@@whynot-wx4dc The south and being southern is NOT a stigma. The civil war ended 154yrs ago. no one living today is "attached" to it. The word "Dixie" is nothing more than a name for the geographic region of the U.S. south of the Mason-Dixon line and had nothing to do with slavery. Years later it was widely excepted as the dividing line between the "industrial" north and the "Agricultural" south.

You are not going to get many likes for the Dixie Chicks, we long ago banned them from Texas. Although they're from our state of Texas, they managed to insulted just about the entire state. Could not bring myself to watch this one.
