- Bob Sapp has always been perceived as a huge sized fighter with a very impressive appearance, showman mannerisms and dubious fighting skills. However, he also had sensational victories and tough fights. Although basically the American beast was most often called precisely for its impressive growth and muscle mass.
However, there were times when Sapp was bet with such opponents, against the background of which he looked almost tiny. And one such case occurred in 2005, when Bob competed in the K-1 Heroes tournament series.
His opponent was the seven-time world champion in arm wrestling and world champion in amateur sumo Alan Karaev. The future president of the Russian Sumo Federation then just decided to test his strength in mixed martial arts and counted on his enormous physical strength, two-meter height and almost 180 kilograms of combat weight.
