Great video man, I just started looking into playing Solorpgs after playing DnD with friends for over a decade. I have been watching hours and hours of videos and reviews about different game systems. At this point I think it is just time to pick something and jump in instead of analyzing and overthinking every system lol. Keep up the amazing work man.

@@DigitalDrew92 hey, thank you for your kind words! For sure, you definitely don’t have to commit to any one system, that’s the beauty and one of the strengths of this type of play. My advice, go with your first inclination, whatever sounds most appealing to you! It’ll help you figure out what you like and you can go from there.

Great message for all aspects of life. We learn so much more by screwing stuff up from time to time.

100% Shawn. And its really something to be accepted and embraced, not something to be feared.

I believe this sort of internal monologue is incredibly prevalent, but not talked about enough. Good on you for shining some light on the internal struggles we face as DMs / GMs.

@@Phil-q7r hey thank you for bringing this up. I know I was talking through the lens of Solo Roleplay but I 100% agree here - a lot of these same pressures happen when doing traditional GM prep, possibly even more since you add the weight of others expectations compounded by your own. Thinking of ‘Prep is play’ really helps I’ve found.
