I’m with you Josh, no matter where go I always completely unpack my suitcase and use the drawers/closet (unless it’s only a one night stay).

Thank goodness for Taylor, she always has all the info. I can’t believe how different the boarding process is from one cruise line to another. Your cabin is beautiful and so big. We’re going standard room for our first Royal Caribbean cruise. I can see myself getting a veranda/balcony one day. Thank you for all the info, I really appreciate it.

You should try using packing cubes
Packs well and you just grab each cube and put into drawers

My wife and I going on the 3 day Bahamas Disney cruise in April. What is their sign in process like and what app to book stuff on board? And is there fireworks for the 3 days?

How long did it take for your online check in to be approved? I've seen some say as early as the day after you do it. I'm going on 7 days.

@@travelwithjoshandtaylor We had an awesome time. 6 of us were first time DCL cruisers. We rented out the Rainforest spa, The Beauty & Beast show was fantastic and Castaway Cay was beautiful. Perfect weather too. I was a little disappointed with the food and the wifi was terrible but overall a great trip.
7000 trip I looked up. Not including travel fees to get to the port. Need spending $ too

I don’t like them passing the plate from server to sever , I’d rather hold it and have them dish up food that way you are the only one touching the plate Enjoyed your blog and btw your hair is beautiful!
Same, on RC they do it that way. You hold your plate and they dish the food. It was easier and fast in our opinion. Less food waste and less dish washing.

I agree with you about the welcome aboard show creating a big back up. They make you stand 6 feet apart but in the line to board no social distancing so it was nonsense. Good tip to skip.

Question...our 1st cruise is in March so since we are 1st timers we get the last embarkation time, but what time does the ship set sail?
I believe it’s around 4/4:30 I think.
You said the key cards are left outside your room - what do you do those few hours before you can get to your room? We saw you bought coffees - how do you buy them without the room card? (April will be our first DCL cruise.)
They will ask for your stateroom number. They have a little iPad and you sign for it that way

I want to say Thank you for your videos. January 2023 will be my first Disney Cruise. I know you couldn't show the way through security but I was wondering if you could just walk through what happened from when you got your test results until you landed on the upper part of the terminal.
It was very easy to navigate. Once we were cleared of COVId, we walked into the first floor of the terminal. There are plenty of CMs around to point you in the right direction. Just before security inside they do check in it’s pretty quick, then you go through the metal directors and bag check and up the escalator to the main terminal which we should just before getting in the ship. Disney has one of the best and smoothest check in processes for cruising in our opinion.
@@travelwithjoshandtaylor So another quick question. As you were able to get the coffee from Cove Cafe prior to getting your Key to the World cards. How did it work to pay for those? I don't know if you can remember what they asked for by way of payment as from what I hear Disney is pretty much a cashless ship.

We usually get a verandah deluxe as well. We always stay mid ship. After our November cruise we also will be gold members. Wish we lived closer to take more cruises. We live in Hawaii so it’s harder for us to cruise as much as we want. Love the fantasy ship we been on that ship three and November will be four and on the wonder which I love that ship as well.
We did an inside room once, and unfortunately I don’t know if we will ever go back lol
@@travelwithjoshandtaylor our first cruise we ended up paying for a inside room. Dcl ended up upgrading us to the front on the 7th floor. Didn’t like it lol. I get sea sick so going and coming back I got sick. It was so bad coming back our hangers in the closet kept banging back and fort. Had to take them out of the closet lol. From there on we stayed mid ship with a veranda. Love watching your videos!

Yes! You just have to ask for them!
Do you have to do a covid test again if you leave the ship for a shore excursion?
No, the only time a second test is required is for children who are not vaccinated, and only after returning to the home port on any cruise 5 nights or longer.

1:40 yea that makes no sense to drop off bags first before you test because if you test positive you have to come back to get your bags how inconvenient

Just curious, how long did it take you from arrival time before you were allowed to go get food? Was it like an hour or two or how long. Also is your port arrival time the time you arrive for the testing or do you arrive early for the testing?
New subscriber! Do they not allow you to take your masks off for pictures with the characters? Love DCL-I’ve been on 7. I’ve been on all 4 but love the Dream the best. So sad not to see the sail away party!
Unfortunately not while we were cruising (Jan 2022). In fact, the mask policy is so strict that you must wear a mask while seated at your table if you want pictures in the dining room.

Yes I heard only one show during the whole cruise and have takin away the sail away party. The food is bad the service is bad because the servers are pressured so much to get a five star rating. I blame this on the CEO. He is a money hungry pos in my book. Why waste your money, I can think of a thousand better vacations.

I did a two night staycation last year, two theatre style shows. Food was great, plenty of variety and great service. No pressure from staff for ratings.
The sail aware party is different but it’s still there.
It was such a fabulous trip, we immediately booked a 7 day cruise for this year!
My husband and I love cruising, we did two last year. One Disney for 2 nights, and one Princess for 13 nights. We certainly wouldn’t pay for poor quality.

Your room tour could have been better. The couch converts to a single person bed. Not a possible double. You did not include the over head bunk bed. There are not any floors on the ship, they are decks.
The characters are literally in a gigantic mask I have no idea why they don't allow people to get close to the characters.
There's basically zero risk of transmission of covid and everyone is tested by the way.
Your paying Disney to carry your 🧳
