Thanks for the vid guys! With the battery monitor giving you an inaccurate reading- it’s probably because you’ve got it setup as a 240ah battery bank? Change it to 200ah and you’ll get more accurate readings. Itech state that their 120x batteries are 105ah at C20. But you’ll be getting even less than that with the loads you’re running off it.

Just bought a 79 cruiser as a tow rig for a boat. What a beast, I love driving it. Yes I have spent a bit to make it exactly what I want but a new Ranger is bloody expensive and still needs mods to tow safely. Land Cruiser all the way for me hands down. Love watching your content 👍

Unfortunately I got stung with buying 3 x 120X 3 years ago for my caravan from Itech assuming they were 120ah. Got my money back though after pointing out their marketing/advertising was misleading.
Great run down mate. Recently I have been thinking about upgrading the air system in ours. Like you we have the single arb, and honestly think we ask a bit much of it when airing up all 8 tyres. Love what you guys have done to this thing. They get a bad rap, but at the end of the day the joy you get from hearing that sweet 4.5 litre slap beats anything else on the market 😅

Love the rig it’s so sensibly set up. I have a 79 but am finding difficulty in getting it kitted out because of the cost, especially here in WA everything costs more. To be fair it would be about the same cost no matter what ute you wanted to kit out.
Thanks Grant. Yeah nothing is cheap anymore and you can sink a huge amount of money on kitting out a cruiser. There is always more you can do! We just went with the absolute necessary buts for living on the road full time!

Hey Deryck Can you tell what you have done under the bonnet catch can, intercooler upgrade and most importantly have you upgraded the air box so your motor doesn’t get dusted….
