On behalf of Lesotho - We are fine as an independent country. We used to be headed in the deep shallow direction that SA is currently traveling to politically. We recently sorted our mess up and we are working on our country. Re sharp where we are, the motion is from the opposition party.
On behalf of Lesotho reclaiming the Freestate, the little knowledge that I know is that our king Moshoeshoe the 1st was a peaceful leader who longed for peace amongst the tribes back then to end “Lifaqane wars” (Mfencane) so he started first by offering Shaka Zulu animal feathers and skin when he came after him as a tribute to make peace and after a while Shaka Zulu got greedy and wanted more so Moshoeshoe ran with his group of people from a district known as Botha-Bothe today to Thaba-Busiu on a mountain that crew taller at night and Shaka Zulu people couldn’t climb to the top of it to get to Moshoeshoe. Long story short, When the White settlers came to Moshoeshoe with the altered map wanting the land, Moshoeshoe gave them the land of Freestate hence why is known as freestate today and marked with the river that’s called “Lekoa” today meaning even over there you want take over by the gesture of him pointing his finger 🫵 saying, “Lekoa lea nka” meaning (even over there you are taking over)? That’s how that river was named “Lekoa” so Moshoeshoe was a peaceful leader who didn’t want any sort of conflict hence why he would give anything for the sake of peace. That’s why today we have “KHOT’SO, PULA, NALA” as our moto indicating “PEACE”
Daniel Sbhuda and Penuel. I am sure I'm speaking for many when I say this platform is an eye opener every week when you guys drop an episode. We thank and love you!!!
Hala Black Pen and Hoiihoiiii Sbudha🙏 A man once said..." If you blame something or somebody, you are simply giving up the power to change..." So really for me there is no such thing as to "God/Devil made me do it". We just somehow lose control of ourselves because we human and we are supposed to acknowledge our mistake and move on with a lesson...MO FAYA I
As from today I wanna be basketball and 90s Hip Hop reference guy. Penuel spoke about Lebron James and he was breaking Michael Jordan records. Lebron has only broken 1 Michael Jorda key record and that's scoring. Others remain in tact, but again, he still works. Even though he needed 117 more games than him to pass him. Please ask me any basketball question. I have answers for all of them
26:33-26:47 . I do not think Zimbabwe will recover anytime soon, the same way the first independent black country has not recovered yet (Haiti). Zimbabwe is a reminder of what will happen to SA, if we don't play by the elites rules.
i believe at the very least Lesotho like many southern African nations with ethnic constituencies cut off into SA like FS should reunite with them in USSA - United States of Southern Africa, simply because the world is a mighty place,we would do better in a coalition, but one that maintains that type of smaller scale self governanace. What Lesotho is doing is a step in the right direction, this is land reform, its a conversation we should have had of wether this system, this society we were dragged into is our destiny, the hate and crass tribalism ,or at the very least a looking down upon of a weak nation that was victimized by a common enemy ,for bringing this up shows its an important conversation, sometimes we want to be together maybe we as Africans just simply are too inmature to pull off true ethnic diversity
One of the things that sparked Lesotho wanting its land back is that RSA has failed to follow through in executing what has been previously negotiated by both governments regarding border movements. The issue of Lesotho being integrated into RSA is something that has been spoken about since ANC came into power and from what I observed, most of the Basotho have found the concept rather insulting. I remember one minister saying to me that Lesotho can be made a 10th province and our king made a premier which as you may well imagine did not sit well with me. While Lesotho may as most South African's like to point out, be a small country with a small population in comparison, it is still a sovereign state that we still love with all it's shortcomings, and for RSA to say we should be integrated as if we are itching to be South African is quite frankly patronizing. In Lesotho we don't have a history of Apartheid, and we also don't have land issues and currently, we don't have blackouts so it would not be advisable to merge with a country that is plagued with what would be non-issues for us, because as you can imagine, even our way of thinking and handling issues is very different.
Ok but Lesotho does have problems this is why most of your brothers are working in mines in Mpumalanga Northern Cape and Limpopo provinces I personally don't want Lesotho to be a tenth province but it seems SA is a big part of solving your economic problems I remain humble to be educated by you
@@billymaepa4576 Lesotho has its own problems yes , no country is without issues, however we don't totally buy into becoming a 10th province to solve our problems , we'd rather get our land back and not be an enclave surrounded by such a vicious neighbor
this issue draws me back to a point that has become characteristic of Penuels rhetoric...blacks are ignorant or naïve or both, they have become arrogant of a status quo forcefully established that disempowered them ,dragged them into the society their in,you should see the comments on one of news channels videos, they are defending imperialism as we know it ,they hate him but love the white mans work, maboko a thibane jwang, Lesotho has this negative image of a tiny, weak, shithole state that wants to take advantage of SA when nobody stops to think maybe what it was left to work with was never enough,it is ten times smaller than it was, lost most of the arable land, which today feeds a nation 20 times its population, exports the only resource it can, water,at a loss, its SA taking advantage,ba i kentse mokgoa ka rona, they dont see this is a step in the right direction , direction of Africans escaping implications of colonialism because its over and determining their own destiny
I personally think provinces are good as compared to hard borders, hard borders just limit trade, free flow of man power and interllectual property. Even if borders are there in a bloc they should be very porous. i.e. if I go to SA I should just stamp a passport go do whatever with maybe limits increased to 6months or 1year. If I have the right skill and qualification I should have and equal chance if I apply for a job and if competetive enough I get it. If this works in SADC then at some point all the African blocs can easily unite to one currency and central gorvenment with each bloc having a local gov and a country operating like a province. Provinces preserve the cultures and way of life but to position yourself economically in the global market it takes a united front which consists of the united provinces forming a country. Imagine the power of an economically united bloc. Then united blocs forming a continent. It would be beautiful
SA needs a reset we can not make things up as we go or address things soon as they become hyped up like this Lesotho issue. A well prepared and disciplined country would have a clear plan on how to address the Lesotho issue even the western cape independence issue..plus economically it wouldn't make sense for South Africa to add Lesotho as a Province. South Africans need to map out their own agenda and stick to it.
When you say " We will allow you to retain......" who are you to even open your mouth and say that, The arrogance displayed by some South African's when it comes to Lesotho, is quite frankly annoying and condescending to say the least. Anyone who has ever bothered to study our History will know that Lesotho and some other countries in the SADC region were not always as we know them to be today. The issue of countries wanting their land back is not going to end with Lesotho.
Lesotho has no proof of ownership. Free State was sectionalized by English & Boers. Lesotho had 60 000 people 200 years ago. It is impossible that 60 000 could own parts of NC, NW, KZN, EC & FS. Most of the land was won and lost through tribal wars and not Colonization or Apartheid. Colonization/ Apartheid split the country and redesigned the landscape
The Cape Independence drive is done based on racist ideologies. We as Africans have stood divided due to the borders whiteness has imposed on us. We should not support this but instead, move towards dismantling these colonial structures and build not on a unified South Africa but a unified Africa.
The borders of Lesotho and eswatini should have been removed a long time ago..... These anc leaders are centuries behind in thinking.america did this in the1700s.look at where thy are today
LESOTHO- With an ordinary citizen, they'd be happy to be part of SA, but for those in parliament and for those who are benefiting from Tenders, they fight it

@@motlatsi7997 A lot of people are just tribalists. They don't even own most (if not all) of the land Lesotho claims. That land is in the hands of white racists. South Africa is a farce.
When you say that we need to also mention that there are many Basotho who have committed crimes in RSA and have fled and can not be tracked, You do realize that it goes both ways. Do not make it sound as though the only criminals in this equation are from Lesotho when we all know the problem is suffered on both sides. Who says we want the Maluti mountain range renamed to a south african name....again it's the arrogance for me....your mindset is that of an invader.

Basotho have managed to maintain their sovereignty. With all the pride of the other tribes, often obnoxiously celebrated, why should they give it up?
