    I love Scotland. I lived there for two and a half years. According to my DNA I'm just a wee bit Scot. My wife is second generation in the US. Her grandparents were from Greenock. I wish I'd know when I was over there I would looked them up. It's good to see you going barefoot, that was a Celtic tradition. There is a story about an Englishmen who met a girl tending her flock. She was barefoot. He made a rude comment about her not being able to afford shoes. It was a wet morning and she asked him if his shoes were wet. He admitted they were. She laughed and told him her feet would be dry long before his shoes would. I'd rather be barefoot then wearing wet shoes all day.

    You should just permanently forget the shoes and socks. No messing about with taking them off and putting them back on, and the benefits of being barefoot all the time are enormous. I've only been doing it for a few weeks and already I can comfortably walk on sharp stones, walk for miles over rough concrete and glass carrying a heavy backpack and I'm just starting getting into barefoot running. Old foot problems and knee problems are now gone!

    I go into the wild on my own all the time.
    I’m never scared.
    But I do see and hear lots of very weird things….
    Last week I saw a Raven disappear mid flight…Ive heard whispers….Ive smelled perfume…. I see things out of the corner of my eye all the time….Ive seen strange lights in the sky flying low but making no sound…
    Have you ever had a really scary experience that you can explain??

    • @jayhay6497

      Lots of unexplained things when night walking - certainly lights in the sky zipping around and vanishing, and jackdaws / Ravens doing strange things

    i felt relaxed just watching. im a wood carver too and i really appreciate the way your so calm about it. sometimes i try to get it perfect but the whole point of carving it out of wood is because it is organic and unpredictable. i love hearing the ravens talk to you.

    • @annieoutdoors
      @annieoutdoors  2 года назад

      Thank you.
      The ravens are amazing…they hardly make a sound until I start talking, then they just join in 🙂 ….wood carving is soooo satisfying, most of the time I’m not too bothered with what I end up with, it’s the act of doing that’s the draw…the sound the wood makes, the quietness of the brain.

    • @annieoutdoors
      @annieoutdoors  2 года назад

      I’m going to go back and take another look.
      There was so much of it and it was looooooong out of use so it was really hard to tell.
      It would make sense as a settlement - location, water, etc :…. But definitely could just be pens.
      I’m not sure how I’ll know for sure though?

    That stone in the centre at 3:22 kind of looks like it's been carved into the face of a cat and looks very out of place not being covered in moss. Am I just imagining things? It really caught my eye.

    The link between us and Mother Nature is the soles of our feet. People who doesn't know this fact and the benefits it flows into our body, separates this great relationship by allowing footwear to come in between. We need to use all possible channels to educate people on this. Actions are more powerful than words snd that's why I admire your contribution by way of visualizing this great habit through these videos.
    Barefooting should not be an occasional thing. It should be your day to day lifestyle. In other words, live a barefoot lifestyle. Shoes are instruments of torture. They bot only cage your feet and soles but separate you from Mother Nature (I prefer calling her Mama Earth ). Are you always barefoot at home ?? That's inside the house as well as in your garden ?? If the answer is negative, start it right away.
    Incase you're not aware that barefoot living makes our feet beautiful and shapy, do tbis little experiment (to see clear results, you need to be totally barefooter continuesly). Take close up pics of your feet with measurements once a month. Keep doing it (the same shot) for a few months. You'll be amazed at how much your feet have changed for the better over the period of time.
    Live a barefoot lifestyle for good health and happy feet and soles !!!!
