In this video titled EU4 A to Z - I Created THE GERMAN EMPIRE As Mainz I play as Mainz in Europa Universalis 4 1.35 Domination. This is the series titled A to Z where I attempt to play every* nation in EU4 in alphabetical order. Of course I had to remove some nations so the challenge doesn't get too boring. In this video I play as the nation of Mainz and I attempt to conquer every single province that the German Empire had in 1871 basically, form the German Empire in EU4 without actually clicking the button. So, let's see if I managed to do it! I hope you guys enjoy this series. If you enjoyed this video consider leaving a like and subscribing for more content in the future.

"let's jump in as malacca"? :D gotcha!
The best place to shop for classified military documents.
Let's jump in as Malacca... such a classic Malacca to Germany 🤣🤣
Owning all Greek provinces as Malacca sounds better tho
I know right
Too much Malakia!
@@bilindsulaiman6065💀
I love how Lubeck became Denmark just with a different name
They have become the very thing they swore to destroy
You don't need Lorraine to have the borders of the German Empire. The term is "Alsace-Lorraine" but Germany didn't own all of Lorraine, just the "département" (sub-region) of Moselle (the exact term to use is "Alsace-Moselle"), so you only need to control in France the three provinces of Alsace and the province of Metz.
alsace is in south germany not france
In the game yeah, in real life it was only part of Germany in 1871-1918 and 1940-1944. And of course the whole time before France conquered the region, it was in the HRE, so it might have considered itself in the german region but i don't have any source on that.@@florianjongejeugd3902
@@wesleyquere4979 It was also majority German for hundreds of years until France started purging the lands after the world wars.
Even still, there's a fair number of people in the region that speak the language, though less who claim to be German these days (though they aren't eager to call themselves French either, lol)
Oh yeah i know, a portion of my family comes from alsace! Though i'd argue purging might be a strong word, since people didnt get killed in droves, but cultural genocide would fit perfectly. France did and does that all the time anyway, sadly. @@tylermech66
Alsace-Lorraine? I think you mean Elsaß-Lothringen.
Strong duchies and Integration policy get revoked when you form a new nation as you did with Westphalia. Dont know why.
Not just them, while forming Spain, the same thing happened to me too.
@@generalefe1”when you form a new nation”
Yeah, presumably some deep code reason. I think it may be along the lines of, tag forming is done by creating a new country and copying over a lot of stuff... presumably these things can't be copied properly, perhaps because at the time it gets copied, you don't have subjects yet? Some screwy stuff. Considering there's a bunch of wonk around it, I'd guess this is unfixable in the EU4 engine.
Noble changed, now they are nobles of a new country!
@@sorsocksfakesame reason you lose all your cbs until the month ticks, I assume
That was an interesting Malacca video
Finally Mainz, I live right next to it on the other side of the Rhine. 🙌
I formed Germany as them as well and integrated all german cultural provinces and all of France.
You live in wiesbaden?
Yes
@@johgu92 you there on the military base? I used to live there like 2 years ago
@@sageof6pandas233 Nope, just a regular german guy living and working there.
@@johgu92 cool, Wiesbaden ist sehr wunderbar, die Stadt ist sehr schön! Ich errinern mich die schmecke Deutsche Bäckerei. Pardon my poor german, I'm still learning
30:17 When you change the tag, somehow game thinks that you don't have subject nations under yourself anymore, so some estate privileges are getting revoked. It is a bug, obviously, but it happened to me as well lots of times. Btw, you can see that when you form Westphalia at 18:23
Espionage-Offensive might just be the best two opener idea groups in Europe, maybe even generally. I find that the two most annoying aspects of EU4 are the sieges and the AE, and these two idea groups tackle those effectively. Follow up with Admin and Diplo and you’re set.
Budget Monk's opening is Inno Espionage Offensive. Great opening policies too.
I actually spit the coffee I was drinking when I heard Malacca
A callback to my favorite expression that everyone definitely uses. "Um... ... dismantleHRE."
Only real ogs know about this one
I know you dont like long games, but I'd really love to see a game where you go the distance to 1821. Maybe a succession game where you switch country every 50ish years? Considering the amount of gameplay that'd probably need several videos tho ;)
the AI borders look very nice and historical. Over time, eu4 got so well tuned. I love it.
yes
Malacca gameplay 🔥🔥
Fire
I might have a little tip: After declaring a war, pic the provinces you want in the peace screen imediatly and look which nations will get the most AE. Let your diplomats build a spynetwork in those nations then. If you have a 100% spynetwork, the AE-impact will be reduced in that nation by 25%.
Better to improve with them no? Unless ur already at +100
ye, i think so just cos spy networks build up so much slower. i do it with rivals tho as idk how much relation improvement actually affects them
@@justarandomweeb4356Considering they default have -100 relations and since they’re probably also your rivals, -200, probably not that much
I was expecting this to be two videos, the madlad did it in one
Unbelievable! I find your videos and your gameplay so interesting. I play a bit of EU4 myself and i really like your guides as well as these and the releasables videos to improve myself.
2:36 Name whoopsie?
Found out the other day from "TheStudent" Video that The Teutonic HRE Path can form Germany via a mission on admin tech 10 if they dismantle the HRE, so could really create German Empire.
Also that world is incredibly interesting, Qing seemingly owning most of China, Vietnam like most of what was french indochina from the looks, Westphalia with the whole of Germany meanwhile Austria and Hungary are not united but have approximately their internal borders under Austria-Hungary, Large Chagatai chilling ready to be crushed by Qing
Also - Semien owns a decent chunk of Ethiopia, beyond the Mamlukes going down there. Russia formed doesn't seem to be doing tooo hot
Aragon going semi Mare Nostrum, Pretty sure it was Brittanny that owns Panama. Persia boxed in beyween Mega Ottomans, Transoxania and Gazikhmukh taking over the Don Area. Pretty good shit.
Nice video Hawk!❤ just a tip, aswell as the siege bonus you get from spy network on nations, you also get reduced ae on those nations. If you have 100SN on France you get 20% siege bonus aswell as 20% ae reduction on their provinces, it takes some diplo macro and planning, but since you already went ESP its worth to get more value out of the idea set:)
these longer campaigns are nice
I'm a Bitt3rsteel fan and I started playing EU4 recently. You both have similar styles so safe to say that I'm now a fan of you too. I love how informative you are about the games mechanics. You've really helped me learn a lot of essential mechanics in the game and I learned quickly. It was extremely daunting at first, but again your videos helped a lot. Especially all your tutorials for nations! I thought HOI4 was difficult to learn but EU4 is a different beast haha.
Shoutout bittersteel that's my guy
im sure everyone who has played eu4 has gone through the exact pain which was in redhawks voice at 27:48 with "they're allied"
Did someone notice Gazikumuk (I forgot the good orthography) which is very big ?
You actually got the borders 100% correct. Great job.
1:42 War Thunder is the most comprehensive -vehicle combat game- *military secret publishing platform* ever made.
Love to see longer videos.
As someone from Württemberg being born and raised in Bavaria with ancestors from Saxony and Brandenburg I feel extremely offended by the title and the video 😅
Why? I don't get it
As someone from Mainz, I feel extremely aroused.
Idea for Saxony: In honor of Martin Luther, make sure that the HRE is Protestant.
last time i was this early the sumerians were still selling poor quality copper
Now as Malacca, you must conquer Mainz.
Oh boy he signed himself up for more pain XD this is gonna be a looooong episode
Red hawk you should do a wc conquest series or a full 1821 series for a specific country. I rarely see RUclipsrs play or make guides to the 17 or 1800s. It’d be fun to see how you play during those periods as well as managing absolutism.
Ah yes, very good Malacca game!
Ngl i love these longer goals
30:36 absolutely BLESSED name placement
may wanna change end of your sponser ad :P or is everyone going to be mallaca :P also you lost the polices for vassals when you annexed them all and never regave it back out ;P do really enjoy seeingg these longer campaigns / goals as much as eu4 gets boring after first 150-200 years its nice to see later game videos down to the lack of
Priviligies go away when you form new country
As a resident of Mainz, I approve of this video :D
One thing I'm not 100% sure, but I saw in my last campaigns is that coalitions are often disbanded if you either form a new nation or gets too big to fight. Fighting a coalition may also be a strategy, if you happen to get one that is in fact weak to win. As long as the peace treaty is in your favor (aka not white peace, you need to take something from them, even if it's just money), then the coalition will disband. This last situation is probably because of the truce I think.
I actually just watched a video the other day by The Scholar (or something like that) where he formed Germany in 1518, yes he was able to tag switch to Germany thhrough vanilla means through missions
You automatically lose the Strong Duchies and Annexation privileges when you switch tags, its probably a bug, but it can be quite helpful if you get into a situation where you can't revoke privileges because of too high influence.
I've never seen the AI form the Netherlands as burgundy like that. Pretty wild.
I wonder what you'll do as Saxony, the *best* elector and German state by far, with the greatest dynasty of all time.
"Let´s jump in as Malacca!" xD
@18:00 Burgundy formed Netherlands, which causes them to give their France Region land to France.
Im so satisfied that you didn’t take the polish land as a whole state instead you took the border accurate provinces.
I think, when it comes for you to play for the last time with a german nation, you should play in voltaire's nightmare mod!
Forming Germany as Malacca? - You know what to do Hawk! 😁
You should play War Thunder in this channel once in a while for extra pain
Tfw no early DDR as dithsmarchen
Out of curiosity, why do you give the nobles integration policy right when you get subjects, instead of saving it for later? I guess it doesn't make too much of a difference, I always figured it's best to try and minimize the subject disloyalty & estate influence. Just curious, great video as always!
They’re no disloyal anyway
I think conquering all Greece culture provinces as malacca, because it’s close to malaka which is kinda like wanker in Greek
Gotta love those Austria borders
Classic Redhawk not knowing that Wolgast had cores on the starting territory of Wolgast :P
Who would win right at the start of the game, the HRE, or an OPM?
The way Hawk pronounces Rothenburg always hurts so bad
Burgundy can form the Netherlands but if you do it while France still exists, you turn over all provinces in the French region to France. Kinda dumb but that’s why Burgundy seemed to just disappear like that.
You loose strong duchies and integration policy when your form a new tag. A popup told you this at 18:23. :)
When he gets to Timurids it'd be cool to not only form the Mughals, but also swap to confucian and become emperor of China
(yes you keep the special gov reform even if you switch religions or become EOC)
Start as the Province of Mallorca and have every province of todays Germany as vassal/subject
Just by curiosity, what is your favorite nation/empire to form in the entire game? The one nation you almost always chose at the start of the game to do crazy stunts or personal challenges?
For me, it would be Byzantium.
I think the dip rep went down when the privilege was taken away, the moment you formed Westphalia.. I think!
Ofc the mustached man created the german empire
Dam daniel
Germany fighting wars to the East and the West at the same time. Who would have thought that would happen?
26:57 that 1% burgundian hurts my brain
When playing Burgondy, if you decide to form the Netherland, all provinces in the France region are given to France if it exists. That's what happened here.
14:18 It‘s Bretagne‘s dynasty.
You should really try making the video where you honor all your obligations)
You know what they say........dismantle the HRE!
Imagine in history class you learn Mainz formed the Kaiserreich.
*For your next challenge form germany as the teutonic order before the league wars fire*
2:36 Let's jump in as Malacca...
are there countries that nobody did a video of it on yt? maybe you can play them
Ngnl, if in the end you just cheated admin tech 20 just to click the button I wouldn't be mad
AI forming Netherlands when they are superstrong as burgundy is weird everytime. I saw they needed like 2 provinces in dismantled HRE to form lotharingia but instead to form it they gave up half of country and form netherlands with almost no colonies....
Local eu4 player forced to play after 100 years.
you missed two provincis in the east
Ulm when?
25/4/7? With THAT economy? Y U no cannons?
4:28 Get a claim on Trier, leave the HRE and declare on them? They would call in Austria and you wouldnt have to no CB.
And you dont need Lorraine to form Germany. Its either Strassburg or Königsberg.
30:26 They go away if you form a new nation. I don‘t know why.
The only point of War Thunder is to declassify some documents.
Whoah i didnt know forming netherlands cedes 60% of your territory to france. That sucks
No one likes waiting for tech. Super fun campaign.
32:39 you forgot baverya
Strong Duchies and integration policy is automatically removed when you tagswitch
Where are you from hawk?
When you form new nation, Strong duchies and Integration policy goes away and you have to give them again. Happened to me in last two games, Timurids to Mughals and Oda to Japan.
You lose Strong Dutchies and Integration Policy privileges when you formed Westphalia
the annex subject privilege went away once you formed Westfalia.
Shout out to big Gazikumukh
MAINZ RULES THE WORLD!!! Checkmate Wiesbaden
bro everyone speedforming germans now what the hell
Form Greece as Malacca
How do you speak English so well?
The Mainz event
How does France have 3 cannons at 1457? You can see at 7:18 when he adds them as an ally they have 3 cannons.
Yea the new mission tree of the domination dlc
