This is one of his best songs
Johnny cash was a very reglious mam, he was good friends with Billy Graham and sang at several of his revivals. You should check those out!! He gave multiple interviews that give more insight then even his songs do.
Johnny and June, both Christian Faithful Most of their lives....
Love sharing The Word, set to music, with a good Christian couple. Thank you so much....(tears in my eyes right now)
Johnny Cash had a song when I was young called That's Enough, I think that's the title. I've Got Jesus And That's Enough. This was back in the 50's or 60's. It helped me through some rough times.
Revelation
👍👍An awesome performance by The Man In Black. A great message. 🖖❤
Down in the Valley to Pray - Doc Watson, Ricky Skaggs, Earl Scruggs, and Alison Krauss, live recording, incredible!
Yes 95% of the lyrics are direct quotes from the King James Bible. Mostly from Revelation also Acts, Daniel and various other books new and old testament. Johnny recorded A large number of Gospel Albums. Another great song is "GOD'S GOING TO CUT YOU DOWN" GOD BLESS ALL HERE!!!!!
The man in black was always that way.
Released the year before he passed!
It's about the 4 horseman of the Apocalypse from the book of Revelation. END OF DAYS!
From
What I’ve gathered. He grew up Christian. But strayed and came back to being a Christian. Even in the movie ring of fire his brother wanted to be a minister
Not one bad song ,I am 58 and was raised on Johnny
Cool seeing this couple react to this!!!

oh Johnny Cash...truly an American legend. He has such a variety of songs, but yes many of them have a Gospel theme. Early in his career he did a lot of Gospel hymns. Of course he did a lot of different songs too. He is well known to have struggled throughout his life with his humanity, drugs, bad choices. But nearer to the end of his life he started to reflect again on his relationship with the Lord and some of his later songs have a very serious tone about when we stand before the Lord. God's Gonna Cut You Down, recorded after he passed. Another one you can react to that is not about God, but it is one he wrote in response to questions he was asked about himself, and this song is his response to the question about why he always wears black. Man In Black. Enjoy!
He's talking about the book of Revelation
HezekiYah - Blood of The KING
Just have the Altar call already. Sheeesh!
He always has been this way but he go through a rough life and addiction/minor arrests in his younger days but always gave it to god in the end
I like his version of The Mercy Seat.
Those who knew Johnny Cash said he aspired to heaven while descending into hell.
Check out "Man In Black" and see when it was released.
Watch the man in black
You should react to Heaven's bound Balloons by Granger Smith it's a really good song
So Help Me God- Brantley Gilbert
Johnny was very familiar with the Devil... overall believed in Christ but lived in the darkness...like myself... wasn't necessarily about the good side but the wrath that'll come to the evil...kinda speaking as the devil giving a secret warning while still deceiving
Check out Jaquin Phoenix 's performance of Jonny Cash. . . Good movie, worth a look. ❤🙏🇺🇸✌
