Exactly! So many other creators just want to appeal to the algorithm. It's really refreshing when someone expands into other topics or forms of content, like the podcast - turned out great. Creators should be more confident and adventurous.

The secret is to limit yourself to one planted tank and one reef tank and only get expensive specimens so every time you buy something new you cry lol
Theater lighting designer here! I have done a similar trick for a production last year = two bowls nested into each other. The bottom (bigger one) has a few diodes of LED tape, and the top (slightly smaller) one has a bit of water which the characters can draw a cup from, or whatever choreo they need. It provides a pretty up-light for the actors and if the space is small and low clearance. it casts pretty striations across the ceiling.

The good thing is: even if it starts to burn, it's encased in terracotta. Some expanding foams have nitrogen in them which suffocates fire as they melt too.

I haven't watched your video in a long while but a few months ago I started to work as a machine operator and to make the day go by faster I like to listen to music or RUclips videos (I have yt premium so I can listen with the screen turned off). This week I came to think of your podcast and thought that would be perfect to listen to and all these hours of listening to you talking made me want to watch your regular videos again. I noticed tour viewer count seems to have gone down lately, but it's nice to see you post these different kinds of videos. I hope it goes back up because I feel like your content is underrated. You bring so much knowledge on so many different topics, and I find it really interesting. I hope to keep seeing new content from you, in whatever form it may be, for many years to come.

Keep it up with the fish keeping videos, man, loving it! We just added a 10 gallon grow out tank for propagating plants and raising live-bearer fry away from the adults. It sits on the kitchen counter across from where I sometimes cook your recipes. Society has ended up with some weird little quirks with the invention of the internet haha

I've made a bunch of 'not light' lights using Hue bulbs. The Hue Go can easily be cut down and fed from a 24v wall adapter into almost any thing, stop lights, old throw lights, etc.
Reading in full is always my favorite part!

For a little bit, I was upset about the shift away from cooking content. Then I realized that I've been watching Adam for years now, and I've learned really all I need to know about cooking during that time. I haven't actually made a new Ragusea recipe in ages.

Please but some kind of substrate or terracotta scraps in there with your fish. Something that will provide surface area for bacteria to live on. They will cycle and remove waste from the water. That jar volume is pushing it for being enough to have a healthy ratio of biomass/h20 and substrate and plants will improve the health of your fish.
