  • Restored NASA documentary from 1972 about the use of computers in spaceflight - navigation, docking, moon landing, reentry, mission simulation, etc. Vintage mainframes and spacecraft hardware are shown.
The video was remasted to improve color balance and stability. AI upscale (Topaz AI) was used to resample the video to full HD resolution. While it works in most cases, some artifacts are present in some sequences.
Sound and image cleanup, AI upscale and color restoration by RetroSpace HD.

There are CGs that were not even present at Osaka EXPO 1970.
A few years later, I was playing Space Invaders at a coffee shop.

For some reason, hearing 'Moon River' played hauntingly slow on an out-of-tune piano hits me. Anyone else?

How come we need an Encyclopedia entry on Apollo - is it because of the nutters that usually come by ?

AI upscale has introduced to my eyes a whole new series of artifacts that I very much dislike, especially anything with even a close resemblance of any alphanumeric character. This is going to be a long & difficult road ahead.

Star Trek inspired many kids to pursue Science and Engineering careers. I was one of them.
