  • The Liturgy of the Hours or Divine Office or Work of God or canonical hours, often referred to as the Breviary, is the official set of prayers "marking the hours of each day and sanctifying the day with prayer". The Office consists primarily of psalms supplemented by hymns, readings and other prayers and antiphons. Together with the Mass, it constitutes the official public prayer life of the Church. The Liturgy of the Hours also forms the basis of prayer within Christian monasticism.

Deacon Harold it would be so wonderful if God wills that you could teach us scripture.. . Including old testament. Catholic church is so proud to say that scripture is read during mass but not really explained... I know everyone is busy and everything is expensive. That is why I said if God would will it!!! Thank you Deacon Harold I wish there were more preachers like you. Thank you. God bless all.

I just recently started doing the LotH and have a question about the different “crosses”. I understand the “plus sign” crosses mean to do the Sign of the Cross but what about those which actually look like the Cross and the end of a text line? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Been praying the LOH since Easter... and I never prayed the benedictdus in morning prayer. I only read the antiphon lol

The comments of Deacon Harold were of great help and most edifying. However, at this moment what interested me was the body posture during the saying of the Hours.

    CHURCH NEW WINE - COLD
Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and whoever captures souls is wise.
    FAMILY OLD WINE - HOT
I’m looking for 1000 women from all nations to make children for my father Jesus.
    Rules are simple:
    Women must be unmarried.
Women must have children with one man only.
    All sexual relations are forgivable.
All children must be baptized by Eunuchs brothers and sisters of Christ.
    To fulfill Isaiah 60:22
The least of you will become a thousand, the smallest a mighty nation. I am the LORD; in its time I will do this swiftly."
