Really enjoying the more "standalone" sets we've been getting in the Mario wave recently. Stuff still built with the course gimmick in mind, but also doesn't look bad on it's own.
This is a perfect set to be honest. As much as I’d like Mario minifigures, they’ve listened to feedback with the course builder sets, included physical instructions and made sets that look just as good on display as they play with this car set.
I know that lots of folks have complained to the high heavens about there not being any traditional Minifigures for this line even 4 years later. However I feel like if they were to be the old fashioned Minifigures Bowser would still be brick built like he is here.
@@ethancrites6994 And many people say that about the brickbuilt and eletronic figures. It's just a matter of taste which one you like better, I just wanted to say for those who want a Lego Bowser figure.
@@aquamanbeforehewascool5347 i mostly agree, i just think there is more artistic integrity behind brickbuilt figures for Mario, rather than trying to homogenize the Mario universe's unique character design to fit the minifig format
I just bought this set. I like Speed Champions and Lego City vehicles, and this is in scale with them. When I finally build a lego city, I'll probably have him in the middle of a car chase.
This is just a really cool set by itself. You don't really need the Mario electronic figure because its got play features of its own but its still compatible with the Mario fig. Its a balance this theme needed to strike sooner.
This is pretty much perfect for me; I did have my eye on the Mighty Bowser 18+ set but it's just too expensive and has a lot of fluff to it with the two towers and the platform that I didn't need which made it costly. It got a significant discount but the moment long passed. This set is rather decently priced and has the much smaller Bowser which I liked but was locked to really large course builder sets for the longest time, which I don't have room for. So being able to get him in a much cheaper set is awesome for everyone who wanted a cheaper way to get Bowser. And I like vehicle based sets so this is a winner for me.
Same for me I originally wanted the 18+ mighty bowser set but it’s too big for my room to display since my room is small plus it’s pricey so getting the muscle car was an alternative as I mainly the set for 5:43 Lego bowser who is scaled down to a palm of my hand size But I got the muscle car as a bonus
I really love this set. Heck, this is probably one of my favorite sets, 'cause it's based on 3D World, and that's gotta be one of my favorite Mario games. Of course, I also like the Bowser Express set, but I don't think I'm gonna be getting that anytime soon.
This is probably my favorite lego mario set i have but, i found a tiny glitch, if you can recreate this, do it and upload the glitch. Put lego mario or another character on the car bar code, and honk, if you can notice, mario will detect that like there is no bar code below it after honking and it will stop driving, even if the bar code is below the scanner. I dont know but i think the update is broken, or i built the set wrong. And remember, if you can recreate this glitch, upload it on youtube. (Btw thats not how you place bowsers claws-)

I found a bunch of sets early at target and was debating on getting this or the nwh expansion I got nwh because I was getting the big set too, so I’ll pick this up tomorrow morning
I wish they made 2 or 3 soccer balls so we can re-create scenes from Mario 3-D world all they have to do is re-paint the ball piece but anyways, I really like this as a Mario fan
I'll admit, i only got it because i didn't have bowser. Or even dry Bowser. And i don't really get toys anymore. But i went to Walmart, got a gift card for exchanging a game that i already haf (it was a christmas present), and i initially was gonna use some of the money to get a switch game. But i didn't get one because on one hand, i already had the interesting games (to me anyway), on the other hand the other games didn't appeal to me. But as me and my mom were checking out, i remembered this set. So i bought it. I originally just wanted bowser, but i decided to build the car and the bombs because, well, why not. And i must say i love the car just as much as bowser. 10/10
I’m still against the idea of Mario minifigures. I think they’d look very uncanny in comparison to the brick built figures. Besides, when we’ve got so many enemies and allies from the vast Mario universe that could be converted into brick built figures.
I wonder why... probably because not only was the Dry Bowser fugure a reskin of the Bowser figure but also because Dry Bowser is literally just Bowser's skeleton
I got the set now, but i have to say, its not so good designed, the scancode inside of the car can only be scanned, when i take his pants off, wich is just sad
You might want to check on how you built it. You can see here that you don’t need to remove the pants. Maybe something is wrong with your Mario as well? Like the light or something

Saw a lot of new January sets at my local target on the 21st, bought a lot, found this set interesting .
This is honestly worth buying

Bowser could work as a bigfig. There is even a Lego compatible Bigfig Bowser from WM Blocks, which is similar in scale to the Brickbuilt version.
