His ship is black or hidden, and he possesses the last ponaeglyph. His ship is pitch black. He might be connected to That could be Imu but it's unlikely He could be connected to Akoji considering the scar It's more than likely he's connected to Rodger in some way or followed him in his journey. Speculative foreshadowing, Oda loves his foreshadowing and he's notorious for such. It's not impossible that we've seen the Hinokizu and have had interactions with him in the past. Likely connections: - Luffy's first voyage - He runs into a Typhoon and climbs into a barrel to hide, setting in motion the entirety of one piece, Koby, Alvedia, and giving himself a ship to go recruit zoro with. - Eye Patch - Oda has long since been desperate and communicated there's a character he's ITCHING to write who wears an eye patch, and that this character is significant to the final arch. Considering Hinokizu is the last major player likely to be introduced and we've seen Imu has two eyes, it's likely he wears an eye patch, possibly connected to some of the history. This could also be a connection to the three eye tribe Bogart: - A navy officer who's never been shown without a hat, covering his presumed normal eyes and easily potentially an eye patch or obscuring a third eye or both. - We've never seen his face which is very strange for a character established to be at Garps side since GOD VALLEY - He's been following Rodger and likely saw the same poneglyths or some of them as Garp continued hunting Rodger, possibly even being able to read the red one at fishman island Garp has been there before likely just after Rodger, but likely didn't find the three others, Linlins, Zou, or Wano. - He was in the east blue, often around Goa and even possibly knew about Ace, Luffy, Dragon, etc. I'll do you one better than this Theory. Bogard is the Burn Scared man. He's followed the path of the pirate king and awakened his third eye. He read the road poneglyph in fishman island and knew it's purpose. Assuming his loyalties is a uncertain we can say he's in the perfect place to be a puppet master. Bogard is the most likely to know of Ace and his father. Whilst I would believe it's possible Garp told Sengoku, the man swore and OATH to Rodger. As Rodger faced the execution block he charged Garp with his sons life. If he told Sengoku he'd have never let Ace be offered a warlord position. Ace wouldn't have made it out of the East Blue. He'd be dead before luffy set sail. You know who COULD have told Sengoku? Bogard. Bogard was likely there with Garp some significant ammount, to possibly know luffys dad, a key thing, in the manga and anime Bogard doesn't react to the news that Dragon was Luffys dad. Bogard likely travelled with garp, or knew his whereabouts when fetching ace, or bringing him to Goa kingdom, or his frequent trips there. Bogard could be the one to tell Sengoku about Ace. He could also be from the 3 eye tribe or have some way to read the poneglyths and could have even lost his third eye to Akainu who found out he was reading Poneglyths.
