When one door closes another will open and in time I just know a good opportunity will come your way. Very glad to hear that you left that job, no one deserves to be treated as you were. Hope your knee surgery gets to be done soon so you can be on the way to a better physical life. Any of my friends who have had their knee/knees done are so glad they did and they say, don't put it off. It's good you have family rallying around you, this will help and of course Owen too. I follow Dr Rangan Chatterjee on YT and he had this neuroscientist on, Dr Tara Swart and she talked about making a vision board and the law of attraction....check it out.
