Another way is to biuld your map high up to make it bigger, box it and ad servos at the bottom so when you unanchor and click a button, the other walls will come down and your map is now bigger
I was haveing a problem makeing it when i reach to the part that u can load in your build when i was gonna to that my pistons is -181WHEN I tried to place them it wouldnt make me and i have 75 pistons
when you have a - amount of blocks that means there is your amount you allready have + the negative amount so if you were to buy 181 you would have 0 and buy one more and you can place it

I made maps without this, but how would I get my non-air vehicles up there? I imagine that I would have to use a payload but is there a better way to do this?

1 switch is for the pistons and 1 switch is for the butter blocks

why is it one slot to build for the system and one slot for the plate?
Because the system itself takes some space so you cant put in there 250x250 plot, but by using another slot you can make 250x250 plate
But i have a question: how do you carry tanks on the map without breaking the tracks?
Good question maybe but a block around the entire tank fly it up with a jet the delete the block and jet
