I'm a coldplay fan and always listening to his songs. When this one came out, I was just meh to be honest but after going to his concert 2 weeks ago and having this song as his opening act, I have been addicted to it ever since. Listening this tune live to Chris Martin singing it just clicked something in me and everytime I hear this, I feel euphoria - guess am really feeling the higher power.

I don't know why, but I got a huge wave of nostalgia engulfing me while listening to this song...Higher Power embodies the evolution of this band; the music, the faces of my boys, the vibe clearly show it. Their happiness is so contagious that I cannot help but smile and shed some tears of joy. I cannot believe how far Coldplay went, it will forever be etched in my heart.

It helps that the background vocals are clearly of the highest class. I am not a music expert but have always felt that great background vocals are very underrated as they are here.
Every generation has its idols: for me, was U2. But I am glad that Coldplay appeared before my demise!
Something i just want to point out is that if you look through the comments there is people here soaking all languages from all different backgrounds, and that really just shows you how amazing Coldplay is and how wide it’s audience is and the impact it’s had on so many people. I love you guys so much, i grew up with you and I’m so glad I haven’t grown out of you. I’ll love Coldplay forever
