Two big notes about 7-Eleven... #1: My stepdaughters just got back from Japan, and they mentioned that the 7-Eleven there had the best Hamburger Steak they ever ate. #2: The local 7-Eleven's are improving and expanding their 'grab-and-go' selections. This has a lot to do with their ownership by a Japanese company. - And on another note, Times Supermarkets are now aligned with Don Quixote and Marukai, and they have begun to really expand the 'grab-and-go' selections also.
7-Eleven’s are definitely a staple whenever we visit Japan! However, this time I noticed there were more Family Marts around the areas we stayed at. I must try their hamburger steak there! For about 15 years I was eating fried chicken from Family Mart once or twice a week. Now I keep it to about once a month and am feeling a little healthier. What I do miss though, is that they used to sell the best fried chicken drumsticks for just over a dollar, unfortunately they stopped doing that about 8 years ago. I also enjoy their delicious and inexpensive pastries ,but my wife warns me not to eat so many.
Family Mart was next door to us on this Japan trip!! Oddly I saw more of them than 7-Elevens this trip. Wesley loves their chicken skewers.
