Puddles are indicative of poor flat ground design. They were supposed to slope it slightly to the sides so that the rain water flows off. Sometimes it's because of ignorance and sometimes it's because of indifference and just plain malicious sabotage. 😮😮😮

Believe it or not this park is literally behind the Quick Stop that Clerks was filmed.
Imagine you filmed one of these when Love park was still a thing. You and Ishod were so consistent. Seemed to hit everything 1st try.
This park looks awesome. Like a Street League type of park.

Nollie half-Cab is a dope and legit name. Pros with the best nollies in the 90's (Ronnie Bertino, Paulo Diaz, etc.) used to say that shit. Chad Muska used to pop huge fs nollie Cabs down at the beach at my spot. Kien Lieu aka Donger would do even bigger bs nollie Cabs (sometimes they'd call those helipops cuz for Rodney). But NOBODY said, "Oh those are nollie 360s." (Say that with an Urkel voice.) Just say fuckin nollie Cab and everybody gets it. Sounds way sicker and more street than a nerdy ass "fs nollie 180," or "fs nollie 360."

@@jessejamesbI wasn't there when they built it so I'm not sure what they used for the original foundation, but the thing was steep for sure
I really need to find someone to skate with again. Skating alone is still better than not skating at all, but when I was young, a friend and I would skate together every day. I miss that shit. Obviously, as a full-time working adult, I can't skate every day with anyone. But shit... once a fiscal quarter would be rad. 😂

Who designed and built this park? I’m looking for a builder for a top secret park in Vermont. This is probably the best concrete work I have seen east of the Mississippi
theres also a newer park in highlands down the highway further, theres a park in keyport up the highway north, theres a relatively new park in neptune, monmouth county is dotted with decent parks

Poorly designed park, no halfpipe transitions or bowl / pool. How many ledges do you streeters need? I guess it's much cheaper to do it this way.

Grew up going to the original Long Branch park. New one is gorgeous but now I live in FL so the drive is a bit much.

RADDDD bro. First event is May 4th in Lexington, VA for the Greater Rockbridge County Skateboarder Coalition our local non-profit organization event: Taking back the park. April 19-21 GRCSC non profit skate weekend in Buena Vista at Glenn Maury Park and then my first fundraiser and event for my cause to get our skatepark back and built: GoSkateLouisa Day event in Louisa,VA June 8th they are all benefits/fundraisers. We've got local vendors, music, raffles, giveaways, industry brands on deck, and skate contests going on hoping to get some pros/ams out to sign and skate with us too. All of our labors of love will benefit and raise money for our local skate park causes. I'll be at Jackalope Fest in VA beach May31-June 2nd trying to market the events and promote my new brand in the works. We'd love to have you join us!!🙏@@jamaljones5647

I don’t know where this trend of new parks having those hollowed out ledges/hubbas came from but I haven’t met a single person who likes them. Maybe a cost cutting measure, but how much are cities really saving with them? So irritating to look at as you’re rolling up to them.

That park is insane. It has everything you want in a street park except a nice set of stairs to jump down. They could've put a mellow one in the corner instead of the quarterpipe by the slappy curb

Tom how you learn switch ride im regular but for me is so hard to do goffy when im ride my skate im just learning skate on my 50 hopefully its not to late for me
i talk about it a bit in this video , check it if you havent already...but basically, i would choose to ride around switch and skate to and from places switch...just to get a better feel of riding switch, even though it would feel very awkward at first... hope this helps...dont think about it too much...just try to position your body as you would regular, but switch... THANKS for watching !
