The riff to the chorus of this song, including the drums, is easily one of the nastiest riffs ever. The fact that it’s also the outro to the song and just goes on and on as the song fades is absolute magic.
i guess im randomly asking but does anybody know a way to get back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly forgot my login password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me!
@Salvatore Cassius I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Man please do lesson vids on all the chuck solos you kno! I’ve been learning bits and pieces by slowing down your vid but it gets frustrating! And theres no lesson vids on RUclips that I can’t find so I would be very grateful if you ended up doing so my brutha!🤘🏻please consider I’d definitely give as many views as it takes for me too learn them all!
Impossible my friend, sorry, i don't play this anymore for a long time. My advise, take the basics and play it your own way, it's what i do there, i never played solos exactly how Chuck played them, how this could be possible ?
@@evilmerguez I thought you might have learned the way he played it somehow.. people have done crazier things than that so my thinking was it’s possible lol, I’ve pretty much learned most of the licks I liked that you played at the moment, it was hard too figured out how you were fingering some of them because you’re technique is kinda muddy! I figured you wouldn’t actually take the time to make lesson vids I jus figured I’d ask!👍🏻 thanks for the comment at the least!
What sort of technique or theory would u recommend a guitar beginner to practice for the purpose of being able to play the solos. I see some legato but what base could I focus on so i could achieve your playability. I’ve been playing exactly a year and all of your death solos seems super complicated and impossible for me. I know there is no secret sauce for getting good at guitar
When i was a music major my instructor told me if there was a certain technique that you were having troubles with create a practice around it examples techniques would be like dust in the wind for fingerstyle, oroborus by gojira is a great for tapping but you can just make something up for yourself just as long as you slow it down so that your technique is correct because you dont want to build bad habits and then have to go back and relearn when you reach high skill level material. for example playing with your pinky really far from the fret board is a common one but there are many great guitarist who do it.
You don’t need to know any theory to play other people’s music. Just practice alternate picking the patterns in the solos at slower speeds first then eventually after a few months or less you will be much faster than when you started. Also you can just legato if you want to but it won’t sound the same it will still sound good though many guitarist use legato at fast speeds and sound amazing but it takes a lot of time to sound perfect as well.
@@zannall2699 well see.....the problem with trying to play/practice like Chuck's solos slowly first....is it gets really confusing when you slow down a fast guitar solo to hear each note... because when I hear people in videos going through a known solo slowly for people to learn the exact notes is, it ends up not even sounding like Chuck's solos until it gets sped up much faster and then it sounds familiar.... because it really helps me when trying to learn a known guitar solo from a band is to mentally know every note sound in the solo but some stuff gets very hard to learn when it's played at a slower pace to the point I have no reference on where I'm at in the solo but it does help to slowly memorize the notes first and then practice picking up the speed and picking but for Alot of complex solos I end up getting lost with the weird mix of notes played back to back but once its sped up enough then I can recognize where I'm at exactly......I think a big thing to being a naturally good guitarist is people who are like (I don't know how to spell it lol) ambidextrous who are naturally good at using both hands.....but me I'm retarded when it comes to my right hand coordination and ontop of that I broke my right arm straight in half at the forearm in both bones from a skateboard accident grinding on a huge steel circular rail which damaged my nerves which makes it harder but I've been slowly trying to get my muscles stronger in my arm and hand in my right arm since that's the hand doing all the fingering of the notes on guitar I just feel like I cant ever play as fast and as smoothly as Chuck or anybody else which sucks :/ cuz I want to bad!! Lol
@@evilmerguez i just started playing guitar exactly a year ago because of Chuck. It truly amazes me how you just can replicate the sound by feeling , I guess its the consistency with the guitar throughout the years? Hiw long have you been playing?
Lol that's exactly the same part I want to learn and that same shape is used in most of all of Chucks solos but I can't figure it out.....I'm golden with rhythm guitar (well not exactly but much more comfortable on the lower frets) I play a right handed strat style body upside down (because I'm left handed) but then eventually decided to get my strings reversed so it could be strung like a left handed guitar but the lower horn on the body is on the wrong side so I can't comfortablly get up that high on the fret board and I don't understand any technical stuff about guitar I don't know all the different modes and all of that but I've been trying to dissect Chuck's solos to try and learn how to play his solos
i used to play in a Death cover band, and we shared solos with other guitarist. Bobby's solo on this one wasn't my part, and i have to admit that it is on an other level, i think i don't have the skills to play it well. I worked for hours on his solo in Zero Tolerance ruclips.net/video/GV6DRHFtef4/видео.html and i think the result is so-so.... such an extremely good guitarist, Bobby!
@@evilmerguez really the only hard part of his solo is the six string sweeps at the beginning. It sounds a lot harder than it is because it is two parts layered! That tricky bastard haha Edit: Your version of that Zero Tolerance solo sounds good, there are a couple spots that aren't perfect but I guarantee Bobby himself would be fine with it haha. I did notice a couple spots where you hit the right notes but your fingerings are a little more difficult than either Chuck's or Bobby's which may be where some of the added difficulty comes in. I have Bobby's Symbolic solo (both parts) tabbed out correctly note for note if anyone is interested dm me.

I agree with you
Your tone is insane
the transition in 3:40 to the main riff is just too good
Good transitions are rare in death songs
Nicely played some of the best death metal riffs ever.
Imagine me with 8- 38 gauge strings detuned to D trying to rip the speed riff, I was like "I think it should sound tighter than this." LOL
Noodles instead of strings could be better ;)

reasons : bobby is guitar god and his solo requires 29 frets
