both of the original guitarists of maiden are underrated when it comes to lists of best ever, strange since they are the role models for any given modern guitar player, dave has been shredding since the start, which is standard style nowadays, so like lemmy was the king of trash, they are the fathers of guitar players off today.
like james hetfield said about lemmy and motörhead, if it weren't for them, metallica wouldn't exist, and the same goes for dave and adrian in maiden, they are the role models, if you understand that word, for many guitar players. yes maybe there are better players out there, but what would they have been without them. they have been around since early 1970's when the pedals wasn't as technical as they are today, and most of todays guitarists doesn't even know how to play without pedals or wawas. saw a clip where a guy played death- speed- and trash without effects, and even i could learn to play these songs as a newbie. and kirk hammet without a wawa pedal, what a laugh. wide enough for you, or?

Born of woman the seventh son
And he in turn of a seventh son
He has the power to heal
He has the gift of the second sight
He is the chosen one
So it shall be written
So it shall be done
and all will kneel before him,
as he only stands as ONE!
Bruce was beggining his struggle with cancer (struggle that he won !) ...
Playing that real MASTERPIECE must have been a real Knightfight for him !
Honour & Respect !
