I couldn’t imagine not having Brett doing these videos.
Congratulations! You mad an 8 minute video about a car stand entertaining. Watched the whole thing.
Hey Tony! Glad you enjoyed the video man. Pretty tough to make a car stand interesting but we tried our best.
-Brett
This channel (and our esteemed presenter) are very underrated.
Just ordered with matching work mat!!! AMain Hobbies FTW!!!!! Thank you!
So- I’ve been using a yoga block resting nicely on an old kitchen
“lazy Susan “ for the rotation…. Works pretty good.
Just got my Eco Power stand and I love it ( 1st mission was Big Rock shock service)
Ima BLT guy all the way lol😂😂
Excellent! Happy to hear your enjoying it. I love using mine and it's still going strong.
-Brett
I love these videos they are really well thought out and I think it’s nice to have an actual Pearson talking to you like Brett instead of a voiceover or something anyway cool product and keep up the good work
I’ve also accidentally sent off an 1/8 scale basher while I was working outside. Drove into my legs. 😆
I confirm this is the best RC pit stand available. I've been using this for years to build multiple buggy builds and when not being used nice display stand
Yep, definitely guilty of accidentally launching a few vehicles 🤷🏻♂️ Diggin’ the new stand! I’ll be picking up a couple of these!🇺🇸
One my buddies was checking the amp draw of his 17.5 foam tire late model at the track and forgot to remove the pinion gear and launched the car into his bowl of chili his wife had just brought him from the concession. I heard the motor rev and turned around about that time to see his bowl of chili flying through the air lol
Buying this now! Great review!
I laughed a lot watching this video, definitely one of my favorites.
My x had that whole ball locking technology down pat years ago
LOL
Thomas Gross , I hear ya brother, mine tried to make me ball free.
@@jameswaffle7604 they got a lot from me, homes, children, blood sweat and tears, part of my soul even...but by damn I've kept my balls through it all!
Now you’re #ballsfree
Ohh man, that’s some cruel and unusual punishment...
Ah, setting the endpoints on an Arrma Kraton, the throttle blipped with that funky SLT3 procedure. The Eco power car stand saved the day!!!
This looks like a really nice stand, finally!
Bretts awesome love his comedy.
Did everyone notice that he's holding a BLT sandwich @ 3:33????🤣😂😅 I love his reviews!!!
Hah I use a wooden block I found in the trash, drilled some holes in it for shocks. And as a bonus: it acts as a window stopper!
Cool product anyways :D
Same! Why spend money on this when you can have the same result for free. But if you need a stand this is a real good one
Yeah I need 1 of those. Add to cart soon.
These guys make great lipos as well. I bought a couple 2 cell hard packs used from ebay and they were really powerful and took a LOT of abuse/heat.
Good to hear! I had a few 3S packs for crawling and they were inexpensive and worked great.
-Brett
Ball Locking Technology is sweet. Nothing like a well placed detent.
Thanks for the recommendation! No more cardboard boxes for me!
Great videos NOW iam going to buy car stand thank you Brett for the idea i will ask my hobby guy tomorrow if he sells them or he can order 1
Excellent points as usual Brett. Fixed car stands...Absolutely. Rotating car stands...Eh...Not so much.
I love the Recreations!!!
Let me start by saying.....I love Amain!
Tire flat spots Yes.....Sagging suspension arms from sitting?!?! Scratching steel shock shafts with aluminum?!?! Not in this world of science!!! I’m sure i missed more crazy marketing hyperbole, while I recovered from laughing😂 C’mon guys....😎
hi, a week late, as mentioned, if you have your car next to a window and you live where it gets very hot, you can have plastic get soft and start warping. It's not "very" common but it can happen, also another possible scenario is metal fatigue in the springs if you store your car a long time on springs. oh and ANodized aluminium, the anodizing makes a very hard surface, so yes it will scratch your shaft if you rub it
I literally only use RC stands for storing my vehicles. Other than that, I'm to busy flipping my RC, putting it on it's side, etc. When I tried using a stand to work on my RC, it was more of an inconvenient. What would probably work for me is a rotisserie. Mostly used for restoration in the 1 to 1 auto field.
If you're a wrencher, this thing is a God send. I own 4 RC's , and a car stand for each. I live in a region with hot ass summers, and the whole flat spots on your tires is real.
I was expecting this to cost like $50, but $27 isn't terrible. However, if you don't care about the "BLT" (NOT Bacon, Lettuce, and Tomato 😂😂), you could use a later gee spare tire from another RC, a wooden block of something like that, and so much else. My car stand right now is made out of an empty duck tape roll, paint stirrers, some hot glue, and a little tape. It's not as pretty as this, but it works fine and gets the job done for $0
I always enjoy a great BLT. For the stand I typically run 1/10th scale so most likely BLT free for me.
I got a new V2 maxx and this stand is crap ,I sent it back
I consider a car stand a necessity, great for working on my vehicle. This one is very nice, excellent craftsmanship but wondering if BLT is just a gimmick? Also, no tray for parts and feet need non-slip pads. Regardless, better options out there (for me). Thanks for the review 👍
Brett is much better than the British accented guy, I just wish Brett would do more how to videos on Tekno, Agama or Mugen...like how to rebuild the diff, how to check for general suspension and steering maintenance, etc...
I've been using Velveeta Mac and cheese boxes....
As long as I'm not hungry they've worked....haha
A stand like this is a must imo, especially with a trx4 and XMaxx chassis
They should just go full on scale and the stand into a actual mini hydraulic lift. That would be sick, I'd buy that right quick.
That’s a good idea
Same I been looking forever it doesn't exist. a hydraulic little tube would be too expensive and will just end up failing
yep, i accidentally launched my 1/10 basher at full throttle while calibrating the esc :D
I’m glad y’all acknowledge the draw backs to BLT but how about y’all consider selling some optional springs for lighter and heavier vehicles. Should be okay with a 3 weight option.
I’ve had mine for maybe a year now and it was very good for a few months but just yesterday I tossed it in the trash….. I expected better because it wasn’t a “cheap “ stand but maybe I’m just too hard on it …..
I’ll not buy another one for sure
Just being honest with my experience with this stand
Always good content B thanks for sharing 👍🏻💯
Was it on it's last leg?
-Brett
I work at subway so it's funny when he says BLT 😂
I might actually get it, never launched a car without wanting to. Only that one time I tried to use what I think crappy rechargeable batteries in my Transmitter, I'm currently an only standers Duracell guy to this day. I couldn't stop it even with the radio off, luckily it hit a bump, flipped over still running and unplugged the Lipo
One my buddies was checking the amp draw of his 17.5 foam tire late model at the track and forgot to remove the pinion gear and launched the car into his bowl of chili his wife had just brought him from the concession. I heard the motor rev and turned around about that time to see his bowl of chili flying through the air lol
2:56 Uh no, I haven't, because I've used a stand from day one. Btw, the lower chassis on some crawlers don't allow for a steady rock free surface on many stands, including the one you show in the video. --> 1:00 (that's why I made a 3D printed spacer that sits between the chasis and the stand which allows for a more stable mount).
I'm not trying to "put anyone down"...but, if you're working on your vehicle while a battery is connected, or (even worse), while the vehicle is powered up, then a stand is the LEAST of your worries. Honestly, it doesn't take much to turn off the ESC, or to unplug the battery. If you 'must' have the vehicle on (such as centering the servo, to install the horn...although, this would only apply to vehicles requiring the servo be installed in the vehicle before attaching the horn), then the intelligent thing to do is to have the Tx positioned far enough away that it's impossible to accidentally sit on it, or touch it in any way (except, obviously, for adjusting the steering trim).
Anyway, I'm liking this stand enough to add it to my 'wishlist', and consider purchasing it. Oh...one last thing...regarding storing vehicles off the wheels/tires, there's two MUCH better solutions (one is cheap, one is free):
Free - remove the wheels from the axles/driveshafts, lay them on their side, and place the chassis on top of the wheels/tires.
Cheap - Use yoga blocks. For shorter height, but retaining length (perfect for buggies, SCTs, truggies, etc), simply cut them in half lengthwise. For crawlers, and other vehicles with fairly short (lengthwise) skid plates, cut them in half (or even thirds) widthwise.
It really helps with setting steering trim initially
Gotta have fun with this... B.L.T... Brett... Loves ... T________....... ok .... GO! 😁
Does it work ok with traxxas xmaxx 8s? Great video
Yes and no. If you remove the tires you should have clearance, otherwise they'll touch the work surface.
-Brett
Good Job Thank You
Flipped that 70/30 switch huh haha I have done that it bounced off a car run over a stand and flipped over before I got it shut down....mine was 8s xmaxx lol
that tool Kit looks amazing do you guys have that on the site? I got the Traxxas one but I feel it's not enough
Yeah we do. The bag is sold separately and then we put our most used tools in it.

-Brett
Nice
#3 was the reason I ended up buying one, haha.
So if I am free balling it, is there any support?
I remember it happened to my slash and had my remote on and tapped the throttle and it launched to the floor upside down and was the first day when I got it.
My old T-maxx Tire/Rims do just fine. 😝
I’m confused how does the 1/6th Scale Super Baja Rey fit and the tires don’t touch but the Traxxa UDR will touch? Has more travel? Let me know I’m trying to buy but I read in the comments that the udr will touch any info much appreciated. Thanks.
That's cool
What about putting my Truck on top of the box i bought it in and keep it away from my heater and put it in my closet or just put it back in the box with 4 wood blocks to keep the shocks upright both front and back and my closet is six feet away from my heater plus i have a ceiling fan and air conditioning
Now I want one of these just so I can free ball it...
Have you any recommendations for a stand to hold a xmaxx?
I was wondering the same.
I’m all hangry now.. got me thinking about burgers
I am sold
for my TRX4 sport i use a bucket of marine grease as car stand not to flatten the tires, haha
🤣😂🤣😂 You said free ball! 😂🤣😂🤣
Is the Trx4 Sport better or Trx4 because I can't make up my mind on which one to buy they both got pros and cons
Didn't make those mistakes yet, I guess it is because I started the RC hobby with model helicopters and from a safety point it is VERY important to do setup without blades. It just carried over to the other model types, planes without propellers, cars without wheels. a 6S 8th scale car will make some serious mess and can be dangerous. now imagine a 600 size heli that accidentally gets flipped to idle up.
Haven't ran an rc oof yet but now I know to pay attention to that, also idk if I would do blt or not since I've only had one rc and never a stand.
I gotta go full BLT. Just seems right.
BLT all the way man!
I am sold, what do you recommend for an Xmaxx ? I need one for that too
Sorry Stuart, after searching around I can't find anything big enough for the X-Maxx; maybe a few bricks piled up? That truck is so heavy, elevating it up off the tires would be a must when stored away.
-Brett
Sweet
4x4 block of wood. All I need. Can make enough for 10+ RC for $10 with one 10' length. Shock holes are cool, though. One might be OK for maintenance.
I use my old Revo wheels and tires for most of my RCs. LoL
I like it
Car stand and eye protection for me. You don't want get blind by flying rc wheels lmao 🤣 or flying pinion ..
I wanna see this with the Mojave 6s
Hey there, I have a losi 8x buggy. I Wana know if it's possible to convert the transmission to a 2speed transmission? I would just love this. Do you have any pointers? Thanks your pal Wes.
Haven't heard of any 2-speed conversions for that car. It would probably require a lot of custom modifications.
-Brett
A 2-speed might not be a good idea anyway - it would probably get bogged down in 2nd gear, and that's not even to speak of the dirt/sludge that might get into that precision clutch housing. Having the torque is preferable for dealing with rough terrain anyway... That being said, if it were at all possible, you would have to look at any buggy that has an on-road "GT" variant - the XRay XB8 and the Serpent SRX-8 are the only ones that come to mind... Even then, it might be costly, depending on how many modifications were made to accommodate the 2-speed to the GT platform.
When will they be back in stock???
what body do you have and and what too kit do you have
was wondering if they make one for 1/24 scale ?
No, not that I know of.
-Brett
Will this work with the Xmaxx or the dB xl-e?
1/6-1/5??
Probably not with the X-Maxx but it might work with the DBXLE, but we haven't tried it to confirm.
-Brett
What kind of RC manufacturer/car was the lime green Mopar?
Oh, the Team Associated DR10 Drag Car. We made a pretty good video on that car here: ruclips.net/video/5MwnjfG9omA/видео.html
And here is the product page for it at our shop: www.amainhobbies.com/team-associated-dr10-rtr-brushless-drag-race-car-green-asc70026/p1218877
-Brett
AMain Hobbies thank you! I’ll check it out!
Lmao 2 of my used tires stacked works just fine and 90% of my repairs I'm holding the car anyway but Nice shot man.😑🇺🇲🙏
At 2:15. Thumbs up if this happened to you. 🤣👍👍
Bring the monster slash back!
Will it fit a Losi Super Baja Rey 2.0?
will it slip off the stand how sturdy on it is it
POOR NANA 😢😭. 😂😂😂🤙🤙🤙🤙
I like that Big Little Thing! :-)
Nice one. #BLT
-Brett
Can you use it with 1/14 scale Tamiya trucks
Sure, why not.
-Brett
The more you tried to sell it the worse it looked :D the tray looked good tho.
I luv u guys I made my stand out of ductape and legos
Free ballin 🤣🤣
This is cool because I have a traxxas slash but I don’t think I could put my xmaxx on there 😂
What stand would you recommend for a Xmaxx?
There isn't much available for that. You'll need to get creative and use some bricks or a big flower pot?
-Brett
AMain Hobbies thanks
Would this work well with an Arrma Mojave?
It should work. We can put the other Arrma 6S vehicles on there without the tires hitting the work surface, so the Mojave should definitely work.
-Brett
Hmm I want a BLT now...
Dang those bearings can go in my rustler
Why does Brett remind me of Brian kinwald?
BLT Boiz
I need a coupon code! I want to buy like 2 or 3 of these!!
www.amainhobbies.com/discount-coupon-code
-Brett
When will they be back in stock
I am wondering the same.
I use a table....
Could it hold and keep a xmaxx off the ground
Only if you remove the tires.
-Brett
@@AMain_Hobbies ok thanks and oh my gosh thanks for the reply
It's a cool idea but tooooo expensive. 👊👍.
