The more the technology improves, the less interested I become in electronics and the more interested I become in acoustic instrument. I love the FP 9 bass pedal and am interested in the the new hi-hat pedal but your Crosstown Lightweight hi-hat stand is already the best I've ever played! Cheers.
I am very happy to see Yamaha focusing on their all maple series, Tour Custom. In the future I would love to see the Tour Custom's size chart simply copy the Stage Custom's size chart. I would love to see 'Sparkle Finishes' introduced into the Tour Custom. For those of us that missed all the glory of the Absolute Series of the 90's and early 2000's, please allow us a chance to own a new high end all Maple drumset with a large size chart that included sparkle finishes from the best company manufacturing drums.
To be fair, many have said in the larger Yamaha drums groups online that the matching hi hat stand for the FP9 and more options for the tour custom were what they hoped Yamaha could do soon.
@@JakeStaffin I totally agree.. If they added a 24" kick and an 18" FT on Tour Custom they will have covered all the bases. I know, they wanna keep the price down both for manufacturing and the consumer.. But, Thats what I would dig.
The Tour custom uses to come with genuine Remo ambassador heads for the toms but now on their webstite they'are listed as Remo UT heads (same as the stage custom). A huge downgrade IMHO. 🙁
That's unfortunate, as having Ambassadors top and bottom from the start is fantastic, but seeing as the price for a Tour Custom shell pack has gone back down a bit, for the leftover cash we can pick up our choice of heads separately if Ambassadors aren't our go-to. I would have kept the Ambassadors stock as well but IMO it's not a total loss if the price of the kit comes down a bit now.
So basically nothing special, basic additions. Still no update on the live custom oak kit, or the absolute hybrid maple kits just beginner to intermediate gear.
Once Yamaha dropped the Maple Custom and the Birch Custom Absolute lines I lost all interest in them. Nothing they've offered since besides reissuing the RC's is even remotely compelling. Sad too, cuz the Maple Customs were some of the best sounding drums available at any price.

Bop kit now in the Tour Custom Series. About time.
Tour Customs fly way beneath the radar. They’re wonderful drums.

That Rydeen is insanely nice for the money
Rockin 💗💢😍💢💞👍
Yamaha needs to bring back their drop clutch.
I love it how out of touch Yamaha drums are it’s like they’re telling us what we want instead of listening to their customer.
