      Remote and harsh due to high winds at seasons. But one of the most beautiful places I’ve visited.

    Fantastic video Martina. It's amazing to see how much professionalism there is in a small helipad. Congratulations on the organization of your airport facilities, I hope one day to be able to see them in person.

    Fantastisk video Martina. Det er fantastisk at se, hvor meget professionalisme der er i en lille helikopterplads. Tillykke med organisationen af jeres lufthavnsfaciliteter, jeg håber en dag at kunne se dem personligt. (Thanks to Google Translate)

      We just took it to commission. B-212 but will be stationed by our H155. Also in future the H125 as replacement for the AS350. The video has to be an Air Greenland video because they own it. MIT - GRL are separate.

    • @GreenlandAirports
      @GreenlandAirports  Год назад +3

      Unfortunately not. I did not film inside the new hangar because it belongs to Air Greenland. While I was there some of Air Greenland's mechanics were doing a service on B-212 as it has to fly until their new H155 is ready to replace it so I would not interfere with their work.
      Michael is right, that kind of follow up video would have to be done by Air Greenland.
      Hope you enjoyed this video.

      @@GreenlandAirports maybe we could colllab? MIT have more followers than us. Have to talk to marketing.
      But if you guys were given a tour it might be alright?

    Tusass is the only phone/internet/snail mail provider here. Monopoly. Expensive but essential. Well some piggyback on them. Local businesses.

    I have a "language" question. The lady at the beginning - I think she's speaking in Danish. The lady being interviewed - is she speaking the local Inuit language?

    • @michaelbjerre29
      @michaelbjerre29 Год назад +5

      Hi Jeffrey Bue. Yes Martina is speaking Danish. The other nice woman is speaking west coast Greenlandic. East coast is same but with their dialect. For me it’s hard haha.

    What type of fuel do you use for heat inside of structures? Is it warmer now than it typically is from ten years ago?

      I visited Greenland in the 90's, they used kerosene to heat the house, the owner said 20 litres per day😅.

      @@shortbutsquat8482 we have many funny translations or mistranslations. We have a have a variety of bread that is round for instance that we call “rundstykker” and directly translates to round pieces and many translate it to that. Where gummi ged derived from I don’t know.

      @@shortbutsquat8482 apparently it derived from the transition from larvae belt as in tanks to “rubber wheels” the Danes -in fun nicknamed it gummiged.
