- A weekend adventure to an off-trail golden trout lake in the incredible Wind River Range filmed in 4K. After striking out on goldens in two lakes in the Snowy Range this year, this was a special trip. Scuds and streamers were on the menu, especially after switching to 3X to hold up to the razor sharp underwater rocks they would dive into!

The Goldens love to pool in the south western part of that lake; saw a few dozen of them there in 2022. The outlet of that lake is fun to fish, too. Nice work!
It's a pretty spot! Didn't make it to the outlet, but I'll keep that in mind for the next time I'm up that way. Thanks for the beta

What weight rod were you using? Looks amazing, heading to the winds this weekend and trying to figure out what to bring.
A 4-weight, but a 5-weight would be my choice for handling breezy conditions. Enjoy your time up there!

Thanks! I find going solo makes you focus on your surroundings more. Small groups are my favorite, but it's good to clear your mind by yourself every so often. Here was a trip closer to home without seeing anyone for almost 72 hours: ruclips.net/video/2GwsXmv7V-c/видео.html
