    This is absolutely amazing, God gave me this song in a dream and I honestly did not know this song existed until I heard it in my dream. I woke up with the lyrics in my head and even the tune, “I will stand on every promise”. I looked up what I had heard and discovered it really was a song! The Holy Spirit wrote this song and He loves it. He was encouraging me to stand on every promise of His word. Powerful message.

    How Christ-like is that?

    Thank you for this. For those who worry about the cap - if you seriously think we should enforce social conventions from the time of the New Testament, you'd also need to get all the women to put on veils.

    • @paulshannon7303
      @paulshannon7303 5 лет назад +1

      Not veils; simply head covering, Peter! You are putting 21st century social conventions on the clear teaching of Scripture!

    • @LeoRegum
      @LeoRegum 5 лет назад +1

      Dear Peter, you are correct, it is difficult to argue against the veiling of women in worship - especially as it wasn't even a universal social convention at the time as you assume.

    I don't think Jesus/God minds at all, concerning Stuart wearing that hat... Especially Jesus has shown us so many times what he thought of conventions and traditions of old and I believe he would and will rather look at his heart and actions more important than this.. However, this might be a generational or cultural thing and I am sorry, if anyone feels offended by it.. Maybe you can enjoy the song just listening, without focussing on the "silly hat" :)

    His hat is irrelevant for God looks not on the outward appearance but on the heart. To him who is unclean, everything is unclean!

    Never realized he wears a cap before, but glad I'm not the only one to notice. I actually like his style, but being honest it's probably not appropriate here.
    To those who say it doesn't matter, I hope you can justify overturning Paul's commands strongly enough to be cavalier about it. And yep, it also applies to the veiling of women.

    What sin do you stuff into people and harass them. You all will surely be criminals if you do not stop abusing every human who has been kept away from sin just by his grace and words. See the hell fall on you if you do not reconcile and go person to person and say sorry for the arrogance. God is not the God of shit eaters alone. God is also the God of people who have replied on His words. ...Let's see....

    • @volvos60bloke

      It's not relevant. If that's all you care about then perhaps you need to read the New Testament in its entirety.

    • @purdy5
      @purdy5 4 года назад +1

      @volvos60bloke the New Testament in its entirety included 1 Corinthians 11 where there is a clear mandate for women covering their heads (and men uncovering their heads) in prayer and worship.
      Also, you seem to like replying to genuine, non abusive comments by calling people morons. Again, the New Testament has something to say on that behaviour. Christ said in Matthew 5:22:
      “But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says, 'You fool!' will be liable to the hell of fire.”
      The Greek word is “Raca”, which can be directly translated as fool, idiot, or moron.
      Also, the Volvo S60 is a garbage car 😉

    And [beware the Day] when Allah will say, "O Jesus, Son of Mary, did you say to the people, 'Take me and my mother as deities besides Allah ?'" He will say, "Exalted are You! It was not for me to say that to which I have no right. If I had said it, You would have known it. You know what is within myself, and I do not know what is within Yourself. Indeed, it is You who is Knower of the unseen.I said not to them except what You commanded me - to worship Allah , my Lord and your Lord. (Quran 5-116)

    Stuart Townend write great worship songs, but I agree with earlier comments - why DOES he always have to wear a silly hat, when he's singing them and PRAISING GOD? So unnecessary, disrespectful to our Lord, and NOT a good example to set.
