Yay, I found someone new to follow. You did so much better on your first video than I did. I enjoyed seeing your WIPs. Thank your husband for his service. Thank you for supporting him. I was one a Marine Wife, so I know how rough deployments are in war and peace times. I will be bing watching.
Cross Stitch With Luda Oh my gosh Luda! You are one of my favorite flosstubers! This made my day! I shared with my husband how excited I was that you left me a comment! Thank you for watching my videos it means so much!
Hi Rika, Welcome to the flosstube community!! All I can say is WOW!! You are addicted to Mirabilia! Loved seeing what you are working on and can't wait to see more finishes. When using your label maker type out the numbers with a couple of spaces in between before you print. Also, your label maker may have different fonts and sizes so check out the instruction manual for that. They do tend to waste ribbon at the beginning and ending of the label so printing multiples at once will help some. Look forwatf to seeing more of you! Jacque
Hi Jacque! Oh yes! I’ve always been obsessed with Mirabilia! I just love Nora’s designs! I hope she never stops designing! And what a wonderful idea for the label maker! I didn’t even think of that! This is why this community is so wonderful! I’ve learned so much from you all! Thank you for the warm welcome it means so much! 💖💖💖
Loved your first video. I’m another huge Mirabilia fan. I’ve been stitching her designs for 25 years 😱. I only realised it was that long when she celebrated her design anniversary What a shame about Florentina. I wasn’t sure if the damage was on a part of the fabric that will be stitched over or not. If you are going to stitch over the damaged area you can cut a small piece of the fabric from one of the edges and tack it under the damaged area. Then stitch on the patched area. When you’ve finished you can trim away the excess fabric on the back. If you don’t like the fairy designs a lot of them work without the wings I’ve seen Fairy Flora stitched that way and she looked gorgeous. Seeing your haul makes me want to start some of my other Miras but I really should finish my WIPs first. Looking forward to the next video
Thank you for the lovely comment! I know! I saw that she has a pretty anniversary design out and I also can’t believe that Nora has been designing Mirabilia for 25 years! Unfortunately I ripped some of the fabric on non stitchy area. I’m just torn about whether I should just scrap her and start over again. Then maybe i can pick a better fabric. Very torn about it. Going to see if she’s salvageable this weekend and if not I am going to get another fabric. Thank you for the advice! I didn’t think of tackling fabric on the other side to see if it works. I have so many kits that are waiting to be stitched but I like to keep the same design on my scroll so I am rotating some on qsnap while I finish whatever is the on the scroll and then I change it once I am done with it. Anyway, I would also love to follow your journey if you have an Instagram handle! Can’t wait to share more Mirabilia goodness with you! 💖💖💖💖😂
Hi Rika, your work is lovely. There is a fantastic needlework shop in Tulsa Oklahoma called the Silver Needle. Not sure how far your post will be from there but they have a great online store and quick turn around on orders. Good luck with the move. Cheryl
C W Johnson oh my goodness! I’d have to check that out! I think Tulsa is about 3 hours away but no needlepoint store is too far away for me! what can I say I am definitely obsessed! I’m sure I’d have to do a trip over there to check them out! And I’ll look you up on Instagram! ❤️❤️❤️
It was a lovely video, I can’t wait to see the progress as you go. Moving is such a pain, trying to keep stitching where you can find it and access it when you want. I hope it all goes well for you. I am doing my first Mira, Tree of Hope , but it’s currently in the corner because I made a mistake and can’t find it. I don’t make videos but am on Instagram with this name. I’m just a casual stitcher, I don’t really have a lot of time to stitch but I love seeing what everyone is stitching and showing their patterns. There are great tutorials that are very helpful too. I am wishing you and your husband a wonderful reunion!
Hi there! I thought I already responded to this message! The tree of hope is pretty! There’s a lot of Mirabilias I want to stitch but I’m sure it will take more than one lifetime to stitch them all! It has been a wonderful reunion! He left on my birthday last year and then came back on my birthday this year! We’ve been taking the week to relax before the craziness of another move comes again! And I’m trying to squeeze in stitching the most that I can. 💖💖💖
Inga Jelkinienė hi Inga! So wonderful to meet you! What a small community it is! I am so excited to meet more stitchers who loves the same thing I do! I don’t know anyone personally close to me that loves to stitch so I am going to find my “people” here! Lol! Anyway, I hope to keep this up and also hope to see your progress! 💖💖💖
TheStitcheryBook yes I agree with you that usually we can not find anybody who loves stiching as we do. You could go to Mirabilia retreats- but I live on another continent. I love that you are into Mirabilias. So lovely! I have done The Scent Of Old Roses and now I am stiching At the Met. Not popular ones... but love them 👍🏻💝💝💝 Your designs are so good too. I wish you a lot of subscibers ;)
Just found you today via instagram, and already love your channel. Will be binge watching for the rest of the day whilst doing my own stitching. You have beautiful projects
Hi Rika! Fantastic first flosstube! You are a natural. You love Mirabilia as much as I do 😍 your stitching is beautiful, lady of mystery is stunning! Loved all your wips too, Enchanted mermaid and garden party are looking so pretty! What a shame about Florentina...is there any fabric mending glue, even if you use a teeny tiny bit so it doesn't fray or split and then stitch over it? So glad to have found you and that you are making flosstube videos. Look forward to your next update. Happy stitching xx
Hi Belinda! Thank you for being so kind and generous with your comment! I am going to attempt to do the fabric tacky glue trick to see if that can do the trick. Its never happened before and so I am so bummed I messed it up. I suppose maybe this way it will give me an excuse to pick another fabric. But I am going to try the lovely advice to see if that can help with it. I am really enjoying the Enchanted Mermaid! I’m glad I found your SAL since it’s also my birthday month and this was a nice way to celebrate summer here in the US as well as my birthday! Thank you for sharing with us your wonderful stitches as well! I’m looking forward to your next video! 💖💖💖
Hello! I really am glad I found your video. I really enjoyed it. I want to thank you and your husband for his service in the military. I know it is a sacrifice and my family and I do not take it lightly and are grateful. I am so glad he is coming home to you soon. I LOVE Mirabilia as well. I used to be an exclusive Mirabilia stitcher as well. I have branched out some. Your Lady of Mystery is gorgeous, She is one I want to get soon. I have not seen Florentina stitched up As for your boo boo. I think I understood that it is a small hole in the fabric? I think your idea of a charm to cover it ( if it is not covered by the stitching) is a good one. If it looks like it might fray, then I might recommend looking into some hardanger techniques for a repair. I did some hardanger (although it has been some years ago ) and I know that I cut fabric threads and also rewove some, using a thread from the edge of the favbric. Someone else may have a much better suggestion, I hope that you can fix it. I look forward to more videos from you!
Julie Gomery thank you Julie for your warm comment.. it made my day especially with the 4th of July coming up! My heart is happy to have him home and looking forward to our next adventure together! I’d love to see your stitches! If you have any other social media I would love to follow you! And I am really trying to branch out on other designs! I do think the smaller stitch projects would be good for me. I think many moons ago I stitched an HAED and that just made me miserable since it took forever! Thank you for your recommendation on Florentina! And it was a hole in the fabric since I totally ripped it! It really is such a shame. I am going to just invest a weekend to figure out if she’s salvageable. If not it looks like I’d have to start over. Reweaving sounds like it may work.. I’d have to see if I am able to do that! anyway, thank you for watching my video and commenting on it! It makes me feel less weird everytime I watch it! 😂💖💖💖
Super beautiful Mirabilia I love 💕💕
Me tooo! And I also now follow you on IG! 💖

If you like Mirabilia check out Joan Elliott. Her stuff is as good or better than Mirabilia. Lots of beads and krienik.
Don’t edit - it was good ❤️
