I love how Dr. Tucker always makes a tribute to Dr. Ian Stevenson in his introduction. Such a humble man, not letting anyone forget the roots of his research. I truly adore him for this.
He seems like such an absolute gem of a human being. I especially adore scientists that don't dismiss things and are willing to apply scientific method to "fringe topics" with an open mind. They're changing the world and helping us learn more about human consciousness. They deserve so much more notoriety and praise.
The confirmation of specific identities in the "historical" or public record is what makes many of these cases so compelling. Without this crucial evidence, these would all just be "stories." Interesting that their studies show most kids lose their vocalizations of the past life memories around 6 or7. Mine were mostly PTSD related to the death and who I was, and my missing sister and the memory of the death was strongest around 6 years old. That memory is still clear as day and I'm almost 51 now. If I ever hit the lotto, I will fund the hell out of their department.
I think the memory might have something to do with the environment a child is raised in. If parents are dismissive of these memories, the child tries to do the same, and by not thinking of those memories they fade off the edge of our memories limitations with, if your lucky, just faint traces left where they once were.
@james palmer Again...the brain doesn't hold consciousness. Maybe read what the Dr. Eben Alexander, Neurosurgeon says about it. He died and had an NDE while his cortex was gone. He then wrote a book about the experience, giving actual scientific evidence.

UVA Department of Medicine, has 50 years of scientific studies, academic journals, and case studies of NDEs and reincarnation. You should do your research before making baseless conclusionary statements like these. Skepticism is healthy, but only if it comes from an educated standpoint and the questions are intelligent. Makes sense. We pass down genes, why not memories in those genes? Mitochondria and bacteria are very much alive. Why would they not maintain memories. Humans used to think animals had no feelings. Now we know better. So who is to say cells do not have feelings and memories? Watch cells in the process of division....it looks downright painful. This could also explain loads of mental illness for which we currently have no real approach or explanation. Suppose someone is picking up someone's memories which clash with their own DNA. Genetic Conflict is real, but usually only studied in concrete ways like mitochondria clashing with host cell, but it could be extrapolated to cellular memory. It could also explain personality disorders and fragmentation if someone cannot maintain a solid personality for years until (if) they can integrate. Also complicating is the current person is starting to build their OWN consciousness and memories and making decisions that may be different than the genetic memories. Also, it could explain sudden downloads of knowledge. There are people with learning disabilities suddenly being able to do something their own actual brain has no ability to do. We should not dismiss how complex we are and should not reduce everything to psychology.

I had an experience when I was 18 years old, I had a dream in a street in United state! And this happens to me when I was in Guatemala, I don’t speak very well English but the point of this is when I came to the us I saw the street that it was in my dreams and I got very surprised because it was my first time being on that place

I absolutely love his books! They are what started my fascination with reincarnation and, as a result, my spiritual awakening. Prior to that, I was very uninterested in religion and didn’t agree with the Catholicism I had been brought up with. I’m eternally grateful for Dr. Tucker’s meticulous work because I now have an incredibly strong sense of faith that makes sense to me.
i recommend tucker's books as very interesting, informative and quite readable. stevenson's "twenty cases suggestive of reincarnation" is written up as scientific research, which is a ponderous read. stevenson was likely attempting to satisfy the scientific materialists, but that seems a futile effort. tucker's books are seemingly intended for the lay person.

I would like to ask Dr. Tucker (and other members of the DOPS group) what level of evidence you feel would warrant a definitive conclusion such as "the nature of humanity does in fact indicate that for at least some fraction of people, the essence of who a person is in their life is preserved after bodily death, and continues in another physical body at a later time"? And if we cannot yet make such a claim, are there any ideas or plans to obtain that level of evidence (e.g. perhaps a more aggressive approach involving more controlled studies of a very large N of participants from birth)? I think it would not be unfeasible with today's technology to conduct a longitudinal study of say, a million individuals for 5 years. That scope is likely to contain at least one case comparable to the 2500 already documented.

Well, this one is a little different. It is my understanding that we are trapped on a prison planet and that we are quickly recycled into a new human being with no chance of getting out and no memory of our past lives because by some means our memories are wiped clean. You can listen to the alien interview with Aril from Roswell (it's four hours long) and you will understand this. I had already determined that we had to be on the prison planet because no loving God would force us to come back into our bodies. Interesting that their studies show most kids lose their vocalizations of the past life memories around 6 or7. Mine were mostly PTSD related to the death and who I was, and my missing sister and the memory of the death was strongest around 6 years old. That memory is still clear as day and I'm almost 51 now. If I ever hit the lotto, I will fund the hell out of their department.
I think the memory might have something to do with the environment a child is raised in. If parents are dismissive of these memories, the child tries to do the same, and by not thinking of those memories they fade off the edge of our memories limitations with, if your lucky, just faint traces left where they once were.

Makes sense. We pass down genes, why not memories in those genes? Mitochondria and bacteria are very much alive. Why would they not maintain memories. Humans used to think animals had no feelings. Now we know better. So who is to say cells do not have feelings and memories? Watch cells in the process of division....it looks downright painful. This could also explain loads of mental illness for which we currently have no real approach or explanation.
Suppose someone is picking up someone's memories which clash with their own DNA. Genetic Conflict is real, but usually only studied in concrete ways like mitochondria clashing with host cell, but it could be extrapolated to cellular memory. It could also explain personality disorders and fragmentation if someone cannot maintain a solid personality for years until (if) they can integrate.
Also complicating is the current person is starting to build their OWN consciousness and memories and making decisions that may be different than the genetic memories. Also, it could explain sudden downloads of knowledge. There are people with learning disabilities suddenly being able to do something their own actual brain has no ability to do. We should not dismiss how complex we are and should not reduce everything to psychology.

I don't think anyone watching this video would come to the conclusion that one can reencarnate as a viable process. What seems to happen is - if I may be so bold as to speculate - there is a _soul cycle_ beyond the _life cycle_ and, as the evidence shows, when the natural life cycle is interrupted by something, the soul cycle resets - sometimes with added information (memories) _that will be lost_
So, I don't think that _anyone_ would in their right mind assume that reincarnation is a viable option for anything, because if this is the case, our supposed soul isn't ours - it's borrowed. And what we really have is only one chance to borrow it. After that, our life, our memories, _us_ - that's gone. Some say the soul evolves - I doubt it. Not much evidence for it. I had an experience when I was 18 years old, I had a dream in a street in United state! And this happens to me when I was in Guatemala, I don’t speak very well English but the point of this is when I came to the us I saw the street that it was in my dreams and I got very surprised because it was my first time being on that place

I think Dr. Tucker should narrate his future audiobooks as I think some of his authenticity is lost in translation when someone else does the reading. I absolutely love his books! They are what started my fascination with reincarnation and, as a result, my spiritual awakening. Prior to that, I was very uninterested in religion and didn’t agree with the Catholicism I had been brought up with. i recommend tucker's books as very interesting, informative and quite readable. stevenson's "twenty cases suggestive of reincarnation" is written up as scientific research, which is a ponderous read. stevenson was likely attempting to satisfy the scientific materialists, but that seems a futile effort. tucker's books are seemingly intended for the lay person.

I would like to ask Dr. Tucker (and other members of the DOPS group) what level of evidence you feel would warrant a definitive conclusion such as "the nature of humanity does in fact indicate that for at least some fraction of people, the essence of who a person is in their life is preserved after bodily death, and continues in another physical body at a later time"? And if we cannot yet make such a claim, are there any ideas or plans to obtain that level of evidence (e.g. perhaps a more aggressive approach involving more controlled studies of a very large N of participants from birth)? I think it would not be unfeasible with today's technology to conduct a longitudinal study of say, a million individuals for 5 years. That scope is likely to contain at least one case comparable to the 2500 already documented.

Well, this one is a little different. It is my understanding that we are trapped on a prison planet and that we are quickly recycled into a new human being with no chance of getting out and no memory of our past lives because by some means our memories are wiped clean. I had already determined that we had to be on the prison planet because no loving God would force us to come back into our bodies. I've read PDF which reexamined this case. I've found that the James Lettiger case, is filled with half-truths and bad science.
Seems like we have 2 options:
A) There's a completely undetectable ghost that lives inside us & possesses the physical body/brain we see, (except when we're asleep, fall unconscious, etc.) and this invisible ghost can jump from a dead body to a live one on the other side of the world.

There are big bangs happening all of the time at an ever increasing rate with new big bangs occurring forever. There are only a finite number of ways matter can be arranged, there are only a finite number of ways matter can be distributed and there are only a finite number of ways the laws of physics can be different and with an infinite number of big bangs repetitions of everything are inevitable. Your exact life you have lived so far and every other possible variation of your life is already being lived right now by other exact copies of you living on other exact copies of the Earth in other exact copies of our universe elsewhere in the multiverse. An exact copy of you has an exact copy of your brain, consciousness and soul but does NOT have your brain consciousness and soul. This is your only life so make the most of it. Life after death is just wishful thinking. Also spiritual experiences happen because either all of the atoms that makes something up all spontaneously move at the same time or the mind is playing tricks on you. Memories are just a configuration of particles that makes you think something has happened and birthmarks and birth defects is just a configuration of particles on the skin. Particles can be in many places at once until you make a measurement or observation. Each bubble universe is infinite in size because our part of our bubble in our space and time has to become infinite in order for us to exist. This is due to special relativity infinite time outside translates to infinite space inside. Suppose you have a box there are 2 colours red and yellow before you open the box it is red and yellow at the same time and when you open the box it is either red or yellow not both. When our part of the universe 13.8 billion light years from the edge of our bubble universe became infinite we exist. .
