I am happier, more mindful, I have shed my ego, business garb for eastern day pyjamas, concern for material things and all the grudges I was carrying. And I quit smoking cigarettes and weed. I didn’t need an NDE or TM to achieve this.

I can't say much here, but after watching the webinar the other day, I remembered a case I saw on a Taiwanese RUclips channel a long time ago. (ruclips.net/video/EznE88B14dY/видео.html) In 2005, the body of an unidentified girl was found. However, despite the efforts of the police, the culprit was not found for ten years. Ten years later, a girl with a sensitive constitution sought revelation through divination about the whereabouts of her long-lost friend. God answered that her friend had been murdered. At first she was half-believed, but then she had a strange dream. In the dream, the shadow of her missing friend was shaking and crying. Realizing that her friend had met an unjust death, she consulted the police. The police restarted the investigation based on the girl's story and actually found the suspected murderer. There is a popular saying in the Taiwanese police circle : "Find someone who can solve the case on their own", because it is true that many serious cases are often solved secretly. In Taiwan, traditional East Asian philosophies, such as Taoist shamanism, that have been lost in China and Japan, still live on. Therefore Taiwanese people know a lot about communication with spirits and the relationship between the dead and the living.

I've read PDF which reexamined this case. I've found that the James Lettiger case, is filled with half-truths and bad science.

Dr John Searle once says what makes the process of digestion that involves only physical organs as far as we know any different from the process of consciousness. I don’t see any reason why the process of consciousness can’t be purely physical and involves the brain as the control center of that process.

This has long been one of the areas of research that most fascinates me! I've read accounts of phantom phone calls and emails from deceased persons. As an IT professional, now retired, the ones involving computers, cell phones and other types of IT communications equipment really interest me. One thing I've often wondered, and I'm serious about this, is whether or not someone who has re-emerged into the non-physical can still access MMORPG's online is some fashion. I'm also curios to find out if, as more people die who have been familiar with these devices thru out their lives, we'll see more such communications and contacts. Does anyone know of any really good sources for this type of specific research?

It seems like this is based upon anecdotes. There doesn't appear to be measurable evidence. Surveys do not produce empirical data, unless you are pursuing opinions. This presentation seems to be one that reinforces one's beliefs, and helps people confront their own mortality. This is what religion spawned from, however religion became tool of control. Again, education and claimed experiences do little to prove the reality of life after death. I want to believe, but I'm afraid this lecture has left me wanting

when my dad passed away a year ago he appeared in my mind's eye right before I feel asleep. It was not a regular hypnogogic vision but much more vision. And he was happier than I'd ever seen him in life. It freaked me out so much I came more fully awake and told my wife I think my dad just died. I found out 6 mos later he died that night. He was my adoptive father so this is more than genetic.

I'm glad someone is studying these things still. But it does seem like it always remains uncertain if there is actual proof of survival or not, or these are just subjective experiences, and the mainstream scientific view never changes towards this. I used to think there could be some collaboration between scientists and direct voice or materialisation mediums that could prove it to be true, but it seems not. It's kind of obvious that, for example, experiences of some form of after-death communication are comforting. But it seems more important to find evidence that the experiences are objectively real 😐.

At 11:30 it seems like 'materializations' would be the more suitable term than 'visions'? Not sure how a 'vision' is different from the item before, 'visual experiences'.

I saw my grandpa 's face on the glass in the apartment he lived in for 40 years. It was very clear and not scary.

Im 71 now, I was what you describe as a CORT kid. I worked for the same company as my PP, and discovered the woman I work for was married to the funeral director who arranged my funeral which involved bringing my body from London to Liverpool. I changed career, became a medical secretary and worked in almost every field of medicine and surgery. Interestingly I retired from my career ... in the field of Neurology which I found absolutely fascinating. I decided long ago that I would spend my life informally studying metaphysical phenomena, astrology, quantum physics, Buddhist philosophy etc. because I didn't want to limit or confine my learning to any one curriculum. I had to allow my mind to wander down avenues of my own choice in order to understand the whole reincarnation process. I know I have reincarnated numerous times and that consciousness is what we bring with us from life to life because at this point in our evolution it's important to recognise that death of the body is not necessarily death of the personality or consciousness... it's a continuum.

During NDE experiences, how does the soul able to see things without the eyes? As they are talking about brains vs mind, is there similar thing - conscious eyes vs physical eyes?

It is pretty late, man has been stuck in bullying each other into taboos, thank god finally a university is orderly pursuing real science around NDE’s and consciousness

I am 52 years old and when I was 10 years old I found a book about NDE’s and all these things were on a more case by case basis already described in it. Now after 42 years I see this and I am on the one hand glad to see this, but on the other hand it is sad to see that there has been relatively very little investments in the NDE space. We need to accelerate this and get rid of the taboo around the subject.

It doesn't seem like there's much evidence for PSI abilities.

Its not proof reincarnation understood " religiously " ( like Hinduism or Gnosis). It could be fenomenon from fizics ( quantic fizics) we don't yet understand. Like time- space area , interruption in communication ( receving& sending messages). Some disruption in sphere of : time , space , communication.Same phenomenon is stigmata from christianity. We don't understand it but its not any "proof" of anything.

So what if there is really one thing trying to experience it self and ideas of access to knowledge through a spiritual being is really the person being able to type into one of the collective past lives that have experienced. The implications of that could be a key factor to parapsychology because you could try to access experiences of a certain person before and after certain events to get a better understanding of the underlying issues within certain genomes and see if there are progressing or not because honestly dna is memory and also I think this is just opinion to suppress a gene meant to be there to begin with could connect ideas of conformity, disease, and many issues we are faced with. When something is not able to be what it was suppose to be within a collective mental states are altered and something pretends it’s something it isn’t creating disease in that person and not just that if somebody’s been doing that for so long or people in general have been doing that for so long, not knowing what they really are truly and why DNA is the way it is then how do we reconcile all the alterations and how does that connect to people messing with stuff in the future and how that correlates to things in the past and why conflict of happenedI just questions I think of not saying I’m writing about any of it. I’m just trying to understand other perspectives and if anybody could kind of see where I’m coming from with these questions.

Because otherwise what’s the point of consciousness? I disagree with this. It’s more likely that we don’t have free will, but over the trillions of years of accumulating our complex intertwined systems, we live in a pocket(or bubble) that gives the impression of free will. For example, our minds are so intricately complex, with so many variables and micro systems working together, that we have developed the feeling of choice. I think this guy is downplaying or is not able to fathom the idea that we’re so complicated that we have grown into a system that feels independent of the source material. If element A met with element B, and their property interaction initiated the “big bang” process of expanding and growing the universe, at some point it became so advanced and complex that worlds were born, then humans, then the human brain structures. Just because I can voluntarily make the decision to decide to delete this comment, that doesn’t mean I have “free will”. For all intents and purposes, I do. But if we were to follow the events leading up to that decision, starting from element A and element B, you’d be able to track each interaction leading up to me making that decision. We are so far removed from that initial starting point that it’s developed into a pseudo “free will”.

I'm glad serious people study such things, but it is a shame that after 60 years of DOPs and 150 years or so since the Society for Psychical Research was founded, it is still a bit anecdotal and we don't know for sure if life after death definitely exists and what it's like.

Thanks for the effort. Please be careful, when you interpret other scientists. Donald Hoffman has never said, there is no reality, as it is stated app. at 1:45. He is saying the same as the interpreter: We are lookimg for maths to describe a reality behind spacetime.

We are starting to make great leaps in the collective growth of the human consciousness! We only hold great outcomes from going down this path

Great job! This English/philosophy major understood the terrific communicators of physics, so that's a miracle. I was kinda surprised Aristotle got no mention. Didn't he conclude 2300 (?) years ago, writing the Phusis & Meta-phusis, that the nonphysical realm preceeds the physical in order of Being, tho it comes last in our understanding & isn't sensed physically by us? Also, very grateful to hear of a "space time container" we stuck our brains into, that implies Beyonditude. Materialist physics assumes it's all a closed system (or does it?) but none of Stephen Hawking's ideas about the origin of pur physical universe can be explained w/in the system, so he called it vaguely "spontaneous arising" by a "series of unlikely accidents," rather than say "ok i gotta say it's a mystery, an open system, & some intelligence outside our notion of the system could have sparked it into being & is still unfolding from w/in AND beyond, as we speak."

John commits a string a logical fallacies here, fallacious reasoning which renders everything he says mute. You don't get to say that just because there are some things we don't know and aren't explained by modern current science, that there is credence to the idea that there's an afterlife. The idea of an afterlife is absurd because it lacks evidence to support it. Sometimes the correct answer is ''I don't know'' the universe doesn't have to be understandable to you.

The "opinion elite" is greedy - it wants extraordinary evidence for every extraordinary claim. That is not a problem, the real problem is how to define those terms, exactly. There could be a disagreement on what is extraordinary and what isnt, what is evidence and what isnt, what is claim and what isnt... and even if the opinion elite agrees on these definitions, that doesnt mean that everyone else should.

There's no afterlife, there's no before life, there's just life, it's eternal, and it's now. If it's boring, oh well, life is what WE make it, and if we get it wrong we'll get it right next time.(Thanx Gerry)

Has any passive functional neuro imaging been done … fMRI or MEG to examine the active brain region associated with recall of these experiences by the CORT cases and search for changes in say SSEP or QEEG when the reincarnated personality seems present? Quantum entanglement for retrieval of CORT memory? Collective Unconscious? Genetic memory or microDNA signaling? I have my background in neuroscience nursing and psychiatric nursing and was studying for my PhD in neuropsychology before I was hurt in a car accident…I am also working on my DNP in neuroscience nursing and may eventually try to wrap up my PhD. I’ve always been interested in studies of consciousness. I do have a minor in astrophysics) yes that’s really weird but I’ve been an amateur astronomer since I was a kid. I’ve been interested in parapsychology as well, but kept that to myself…😁

I completely understand the need for science to be science. Just look at some of the criticisms that DOPS and other scientists have received for thinking outside the box. However I have come to believe that we will discover God, probably have, yet there will be those on both sides, religion and science, who will deny it and argue. Thomas Aquinas defined God as pure being itself, life, existence and was more apt to define what God was not, than what He Is. “I am who I am”, was the response, when Moses asked “Who are you.” Jesus said that God, the Father, is Spirit (Consciousness?). I have come to believe that it is all true, what we have been taught and told, yet…it may just not be true the way we have in visioned it to be. I have just come to trust and love the mystery!

I believe that many scientists are semi-autistic, which would explain their reaction to the Paranormal, Parapsychology, & Astrology (already part of Science as Circadian Rhythms, & Seasonality).
