I'm using a 14 Pro from launch day and it's been a great phone. Dynamic Island was a surprise hit for me, I wouldn't want to go back to a notch phone. I don't recommend buying iPhones as we get this close to the next gen coming out, but gun to my head, yeah I'd definitely recommend it if lightning isn't a big deal for you
Can't believe it's 2 years already, been one of my favourite iPhone's still holds up so well not noticed any slow down, camera is great battery last all day and I've really come to love the dynamics island - I'll be upgrading to the iPhone 16 Pro Max Ultra whatever they end up calling it but ill definitely be keeping the 14 Pro Max as my work phone, nice little upgrade from my 12 pro max in that department.
I get the new iPhone Pro Max each year (for literally no reason, I know), but honesty I always think about getting a 14 Pro Max again because I miss deep purple sooo much.
Got a 14 pro and have done for 23 months now and will keeping after contract ends - only thing I have had experience problems is to do with the battery as I already have 83% battery health which also annoys me since Apple will most likely not replace this unless the battery health is under 80%
While I have a 14 pro and 15 pro max (14 pro was my switch to iPhone from android but currently using as work phone) The upgrades on the 15 pro max specially in the HDR of the camera for me are huge (specially as I used to love Samsung’s HDR processing). But overall, the 14 pro is still an excellent phone!
I went from an iphone 8 to the 14 pro. I purchased direct from apple with the purple and 512GB options. I expect to use this phone for the next 8 years at least (pending the battery and software support) given I paid close to 2k for it!! I think it will be a powerful phone for a decent time and hope apple supports the software for at least the next 5 years
I’ve had one since release in 2022. I actually broke one in 8 months from taking it in the sauna and steam room for long periods of time. They replaced it but did not make it easy.
It's worth it! The deep purple color is gorgeous. The camera is awesome. Yes, it doesn't have USB-C, but I use MagSafe. Battery health is 88 % and I have Apple Care plus, so I can replace the battery to extend its longevity.
I actually miss the stainless steal from my 13 pro. The titanium is nice but the fingerprints before being wiped off of the stainless steel made it look like it was burnt and it was cool but the 15 max is nice.
Still using my 14 Pro as daily driver for over a year. It serves me pretty well without much issues. Battery health now at relatively healthy 95% and body has few minor random micro scratches and whatnot. It's still a flagship in every sense, maybe battery could be lil better but it's great all rounder nonetheless. iPhone XS served me very well for 4 years plus before I decided to upgrade. I upgraded to regular 14 at first, but didn't really feel too much of a different apart from much improved battery life of new iPhones series (13 series onwards). So after 3 months in, I made up my mind and upgraded to 14 Pro instead. There's a leap of upgrades that actually matters. Smartphones are reaching saturated market and every new smartphone is just incremental upgrades over the last generation. I'm keeping my 14 Pro for longer and will replace the battery when needed rather than upgrading to newer ones.
How was the regular 14 for you? I'm currently still on my XS (5+ years old as of now). Do you think splurging for the 14 Pro is worth it? I pretty much only want it because of the ProMotion display
@@sondernfy 14 baseline is a solid all rounder but pretty boring upgrade. The quality of life improvements are pretty much there. The most noticeable difference would be the speaker quality, battery life and performance. Other than that, I feel like it didn’t worth the price I paid even jumping from outdated XS to 14 baseline. Hence, I changed to 14 Pro.
First phone I’ve ever kept after paying off. Just dropped it in the bath tub 5 minutes ago. I used water eject sound and I can say it’s still completely waterproof. Plan on keeping for 5 years. Don’t plan on going deep sea diving again though with it since it’s a couple years old now 😂
What nobody ever talks about is the software support. It already got two major software updates, to iOS 17 and iOS 18. And as for buying used, it’s always of a certain risk, as you never know, how well the previous owners handled it. Only few will confess mishaps, if they can grab a bit more money for their old device. And they can easily get away with it, if it didn’t cause obvious damage. And as for eBay, the so-called „good condition“ is a very loose term.
I have my 14 pro until I can upgrade July next year space black colour love it and the Dynamic Island too 😊my battery health is at 90% after 9 months usage
I still have the iPhone X and love it! But unfortunately, the GPS sometimes doesn’t work, and I have to reset the internet settings… maybe i buy this Phone or do i wait for the iPhone 17😀
Have had mine since launch and it’s been great, apart from the battery life (currently at 87% health). For that reason, as well as wanting usbc, better zoom and larger screen I’ll be upgrading to the 16 Pro Max in September and giving the 14 Pro to my brother to replace his iPhone 12
I still push the 14 or even the 13 out the door at my store more than the 15. Most iPhone users are upgrading from the iPhone 7 or 8, so they want that lightening port.
I bought my 14 Pro Max last year (new via a retailer) right when the 15 pro max launched. Though I was thinking about getting the 15 Pro Max, I chose the 14. And I am still very happy with my choice
Had a 14 Pro Max in black. Using it was fine for the most part but the battery was probably the second worst ive ever used (not counting any SE's), right behind my old 6S. Aside from rapidly draining through normal usage, it dropped 4% battery capacity in 3 months which was just insane. Sure made me wish i got the 13 Pro Max instead
When I tell you guys this right now, I mean it. TAKE BATTERY INTO CONSIDERATION. I love this phone so much, its super smooth and performs better than most. However, mine was bought renewed and came with 88% battery life, when I tell you the battery is bad, I MEAN it. It's been 3 months till it came down to 86, and I have to charge it at least 2-3x a day, you can use it for an hour and half max if you use it straight, but if you're someone that uses your phone often, get the Pro Max because this battery is KILLINGG me. (Side Note: Playing high graphic games take up so much battery in such a short amount of time, it's insane.)
@@madlad25 The difference between the 15 pro max & pro is the battery health and screen size, all the other specs are the same. If you use your phone a lot and you really care about battery, go with the 15 pro max, it'll last longer than the 15 pro. And as for your first question, DO NOT get a 14 pro above 80 percent, it'll literally last you an hour or two if you use it straight, otherwise you'd need to keep track and use your phone wisely.
@@royaleplayzyt9690 wait so do you recommend the 14 pro max or should I pay like 400 dollars more for the 15 pro max that has basically no upgrade at all just usb type c
I bought 14 pro year ago. This is the first apple phone for me. Till last year i used Samsung S9 (2018-2023). 100% battery 110 battery cycles. User experience 100%.
mines still going strong, my only complaint is the battery life, i came from the 12 pro max before this and the battery life on it was phenomenal. i can kill the battery on my 14 pro from full charge when i wake up in the morning by the time i get home from work. i’m a heavy user unfortunately. may get the 16 pro max when it comes out. but i love my 14 pro
My 14 Pro feels like a tank. A little too heavy? Maybe. But when I hold other iPhones, they feel more fragile, even the 15 Pro. I feel like my 14 Pro will survive forever. The only reason I’d upgrade to a 16 Pro is if it’s free on trade in, but even then I’m not sure it would be worth paying the taxes.
Bout me a refurbished 14pm this year and my wife a brand new 15pm I definitely don’t see that much difference besides usb c and the 15pm being a little lighter
I love my 14 Pro, just the battery is at 86% after only 1 Year (i got it April 2023) and i only get about 2-2,5 hours of screen-on-time, which is worse than my 12 mini after 2years (which i had before).
I upgraded from an iPhone XS (5.8’) to the iPhone 14PM and it is by far the best phone I have ever owned. I love the always on display and the Dynamic Island, I personally hated the notch so it was perfect for me. I also like how it still has a proper silent switch unlike the 15 pro. I think Apple made a mistake removing it. I will definitely be keeping mine for as long as I can, maybe up to 4-5 years even.
on launch the iphone 14 pro and pro max was rather hard to pick up due to supply chain shortage and when supply was steady we were already looking at the iphone 15 models..I got my iphone 14 pro from a carrier and still holding strong today..for a small phone it feels quite heavy 😅
I was against the notch because I felt it was unnecessary as it gave us nothing for the intrusiveness. The dynamic island has been a useful feature in my usage cases and worth the slight intrusiveness it brings. This 14 pro is the first phone I have thought to replace the battery in since my 5s.
I'm a samsung user but I need an other phone and thinking about 14 pro. So guys should I go for it, as it would be my first time purchasing an apple product. SUGGESTIONS PLEASE
yes go for it, if you get a good pricing. it has 120hz, great battery and camera, and all the most recent features you will have everything you need and more, the 15 and 16 dont have that much new stuff other than the AI but if that is not much important for you, then the 14 pro is a great choice
Great phone apart from the battery health, which many others report. My partner has the 13 Pro and it is holding up better from a battery performance point of view. I am in two minds about going 16 Pro or replace the battery?..
For me, the 14 pro/pro max (I had both) was the worst experience I had with an iPhone. Battery life sucked, the camera was, imo, lackluster compared to the 13, battery degradation was rapid, and the weight was too heavy even compared to the 13 series. The 14 pro made me realize that I should’ve kept the 13 pro max. The design was nice though, I enjoyed the super flat edge design of the 12-14 series
I just ordered my 14 pro max 128gb from apple as a refurbished unit for $769 before tax, the 15 pro max was $150 extra on ebay so the 14 was a better choice. In the EU Apple AI won't come anytime soon so I think all in all was a good choice.
Short answer. If you can get one cheap get it then just replace the battery and boom new phone for at least 4 years with software updates for at least 10
@@qaching As long as you purchase it directly from the Apple Online Store, yes it does. They sell all their refurbished units with a brand new outer shell and battery.
I still use my 14 pro max, the thing is still lightning fast, probably because I haven’t updated it since I got it 😂. The battery lasts 2 days, it’s a great phone. I also think the lightning cable is more durable than USB-C, so that’s another plus.
I got my 15 Pro 256GB for $950 back in march from amazon. Was basically brand new. A great deal. Have had a better experience with this iPhone compared to the 14 pro I had. I was the apple rep at my last job and I got the new iPhone each year. The 14 pro was one of the worst iPhones I used in years. Was not bad, but battery life was a down graded from the 13 pro; software was buggy; had constant apps crashes, and like with most tech didn’t start turning around until til I had to give it back 9 months later cause I got a new job. I am sure though it is fine now cause iPhone tends to work better later on the newer iOS for the older phones for some reason.
The 14 pro is definitely a beautiful looking performer, I am still using my day one 13pro max, great cameras, 88% battery health without looking after it whatsoever, superb performer too. Will have to see if the 16 will be worth my money, but by the looks of it il probs just get a new battery installed and it should last me a little longer. Feel like 13 was finally the one that upped the mark substantially, especially from the 12 and there hasnt really been much of an upgrade since, like you say, they dont change much year to year anymore. Remember well the 4 and 4s days and every year it getting ridiculously better, good times.
got an Iphone 14 pro max on release. its a good phone but as someone that has had it for two years of Highschool. the phone just gets hot now. the battery is at 87 percent life and is starting to slow down.
It’s still a great phone but the fact that it’s not getting the next big feature (Apple Intelligence) cause it lacks the ram means that it’s not as future proof and it makes it harder to purchase it. If you don’t care about AI then getting the 14 pro is still pretty good. I’ve had my Space Black 14 Pro since launch and I still love using it. It’s my favourite colour so far cause of how dark and classy the stainless sides look and the performance hasn’t let me down yet. Still a great phone for sure 👍
The oled display on my 14 Pro Max bothers my eyes, so I bought the SE 3 and I like the display a lot more. I would rather have a newer version of the 8 Plus, but the SE 3 will be ok with the smart battery case.
The iPhone 14 Pro & 14 Pro Max are pretty great. Would recommend 14/14

I don't recommend buying iPhones as we get this close to the next gen coming out, but gun to my head, yeah I'd definitely recommend it if lightning isn't a big deal for you
New 91tech video!
Me planning to upgrade from a 12 mini to this on my birthday next month.
watching this on my 14 pro max and would definitely recommend if u tryna save money. it works like it’s brand new.
But overall, the 14 pro is still an excellent phone!
i bought the 14 pro when it was still new, it replaced my iphone 8 and i expect to upgrade again in 5-6 years
I went from an iphone 8 to the 14 pro.
11:20 14 pros are on apple refurbished at least for now in the us for $729 for the 128GB starting.
Upgraded from the 12 mini and I can tell that there’s not a big difference between any iPhone.
But it worth the upgrade
idk whether to get this phone or the 15 base, can i get some opinions?
My 14 pro baterry’s at 86% rn. Bought it as soon as it launched. Solid phone
How's the front camera?
I have this phone.. used for 1 year then downgraded to 13 mini. It’s just there, but I can’t wait to use it again .
I don’t want USB-C because when Lint gets inside of it, I won’t be able to get it out
facts
(Side Note: Playing high graphic games take up so much battery in such a short amount of time, it's insane.)
im about to get one that is above 80 percent battery health minimum is it worth it or should i get the pro max model or 15 pro
Gonna be upgrading for Usb c and AI this year And Battery!
mines still going strong, my only complaint is the battery life, i came from the 12 pro max before this and the battery life on it was phenomenal. i can kill the battery on my 14 pro from full charge when i wake up in the morning by the time i get home from work. i’m a heavy user unfortunately. may get the 16 pro max when it comes out. but i love my 14 pro
Watching this on a 14 Pro Max.
I love my phone.
how long does iphone 14 pro 87 battery health last?
I just got my 14 pro max just today, upgraded from 11 pro max which I bought since launch. I might upgrade after iphone 20 come out 😂
Mine arriving on Thursday
My 14 Pro feels like a tank. A little too heavy? Maybe. But when I hold other iPhones, they feel more fragile, even the 15 Pro. I feel like my 14 Pro will survive forever. The only reason I’d upgrade to a 16 Pro is if it’s free on trade in, but even then I’m not sure it would be worth paying the taxes.
Should I buy this or the 13 Pro Max?
Bout me a refurbished 14pm this year and my wife a brand new 15pm I definitely don’t see that much difference besides usb c and the 15pm being a little lighter
I love my 14 Pro, just the battery is at 86% after only 1 Year (i got it April 2023) and i only get about 2-2,5 hours of screen-on-time, which is worse than my 12 mini after 2years (which i had before).
Bought mine same time and at 90%, I average 4-5 hours a day
I upgraded from an iPhone XS (5.8’) to the iPhone 14PM and it is by far the best phone I have ever owned.
Will you do an ipad mini 3 review sometime soon?
Good phone, but ever since usb c, I can't advise anything older than a 15 moving forward, its so much better than the lightning port imo
I am in two minds about going 16 Pro or replace the battery?..
change the battery, push it as hard as you can go, as long as the storage is still sufficient. and wait for iPhone 17 Pro series
Wanted this a few years back but just Pre Ordered 16 Pro Max
I love my iPhone 14 Pro Max I was going to upgrade to 15 but I love the deep purple color too much
I just ordered my 14 pro max 128gb from apple as a refurbished unit for $769 before tax, the 15 pro max was $150 extra on ebay so the 14 was a better choice. In the EU Apple AI won't come anytime soon so I think all in all was a good choice.
Short answer. If you can get one cheap get it then just replace the battery and boom new phone for at least 4 years with software updates for at least 10
Is going from normal 13 to a 14 pro a good upgrade?
Yeah I think so
Never ever will there be a phone as good as iPhone.
My battery capacity stayed on 100% 1yr straight, it now starting to drop I am sitting at 92% now
Apple is selling this on their refurbished store. It’s basically a brand new phone cosmetically and the battery is also new. worth it.
Refurbished does not mean brand new cosmetically nowhere near
@@qaching As long as you purchase it directly from the Apple Online Store, yes it does. They sell all their refurbished units with a brand new outer shell and battery.
@@qaching If buying it directly from Apple, yes it does.
@@mikester24622 no you also have levels of refurbished on official apple store
Right now, it is $679 refurbished. I got one to replace my 13 mini
Could you send any links to buy 14 pro
Remember well the 4 and 4s days and every year it getting ridiculously better, good times.
agree, just replace the battery, and rock it again until 17 series.😊
got an Iphone 14 pro max on release. its a good phone but as someone that has had it for two years of Highschool. the phone just gets hot now. the battery is at 87 percent life and is starting to slow down.
wdym by slow down im about to buy a 14 pro that has minimum 80 percent battery life
Watching this on my 3GS.
I just got the 14 pro it’s so good
It’s still a great phone but the fact that it’s not getting the next big feature (Apple Intelligence) cause it lacks the ram means that it’s not as future proof and it makes it harder to purchase it.
Watching this on the 14PM
Can anyone tell me brandnew 14 pro price now?
So like how different is this new IPhone compared to the new IPhone SE third generation and the older IPhone 5s?
IM GETTING THIS TOMMOROW!!!
just got mine like new and with 92% battery
Me watching on my 14 Pro Max lol
Lol I’m watching this on my XR…
Watching on my 15
same
Using 14 pro with 95% battery life!!
The oled display on my 14 Pro Max bothers my eyes, so I bought the SE 3 and I like the display a lot more. I would rather have a newer version of the 8 Plus, but the SE 3 will be ok with the smart battery case.
I love the 8+ design id love to have another 8plus style phone w new hardware
