    I have epilepsy as well I have absence seizures. I was diagnosed at the age of 5 but have been seizure free since the age of thirteen and so was taken of meds which caused massive weight gain a hand tremor and memory loss. The point is meds are good up until a point an then it becomes a pill no pun intended. my triggers are flashing lights, specifically the transition from the out doors to inside a classroom getting too hot and recently sleep deprivation. my parents were told to treat me as a normal child and to see how fare I would develop and look at me now I have graduated high school with honors though I did hope for a regents diploma but after taking the algebra common core regent seven times starting out with a 40 and ending up with a 57 oh well. I start collage in July not august as you can infer I was not expected to do much of what I just mentioned
    The effects of my seizures is that i have Aspie like tendencies due to my epilepsy which i know is difficult to understand to put it in simple terms as a result of my seizures my brain compensated and rewired itself and so i have all of the symptoms of Aspergers but lack any sort of understanding math as a result i have no understanding of money and never really learned my basic math facts.(i am just learning them now in college which for most Aspergers people they are gifted with math abilities )i also have orthotic because due to my seizures that i had straight feet at birth
    After my father died, it seems I have had a relapse if that is possible. i still have my absence seizure but it is not enough to put me on meds . i have been getting driving lesson and have 10 -20 seizures in the drivers seat. i take omega 3 cod liver oil liquid form as i can not swallow pills this helps decrease the too -small -to -medicate -seizures i have very small seizures that show up on the EEG as misfired neurons and the Dr. called them "flurries" so here is what my flurries are typically like i will become very spacey i can not interact with my surroundings i also felt locked in to place.

    Seizures are the worst. I am in constant fear and the nuerologist does not listen to you, just put you on another drug by the way have many side affects. I had to fight to be put on a medication that actually worked on me in the first place.

      +Not You Well I hope and pray that someday you and your son gind the right medication. Even though I'm one of the fortunate ones who never had to switch to a different medication, I hope you and your son find the right medication.

    Could epilepsy be brought on by a sudden mentally traumatic experience?
    I lost my daughter prior to my first major epilepsy bout, is looking like I am losing my son, and now my best friend/girlfriend and main supporter, and my epilepsy spells have been terrible lately.
    It feels like it is triggered by my moods of anxiety and depression and losing my daughter is the lowest point in my life.

    The seizure is just the end of days weeks hrs however long between seizures it is of the signal errors building to a point of reboot. That's my interpretation bear in mind I had it 37 years.

      +Ajanta Oishi It's simple really, I've been taking a medication for mine. The medication helps prevent seizures. So that's how I can't remember the last time I had those.

      maybe the medication isn't the right one because his mood isn't correct because his not stable hi news to workout or do exercise because we got a lot of energy in the brain and we can have anxiety , for example i am taking lamotrigine 100mg 2 a day , 2 leviteracetam 1000mg a day and 2 venlafaxine 70mg perd day he needs to take the medication depending the weight , high and age good luck and be patient takes time and he needs to be optimist…. a lot of famous intelligent people got it as alfred nobel , van gohg and me...

      +francois robillard May I add that's kinda of a dumb way too. I mean, if you're struggling with this it's helpful to have God watch over you, but still.

    • @ryanbryant-smith9850
      @ryanbryant-smith9850 6 лет назад

      You do realize that the Qur'an will not eliminate your epilepsy right? You realize that other symptoms of epilepsy will still be present right? Granted, it is wonderful to have God watch over you and bless you. But you do realize that He can only do so much, right? He can't treat epilepsy, only medications will. And that only targets major aspect of having epilepsy. Therefore, God can't cure epilepsy.

      14 year-olds don't think that they're ONLY 14... A 14 year-old would say something like "I'm 14, I'm not a kid anymore!!!" so, yea, go find something to do...😅
