What is it mentioned here is the fact that Ringo was left-handed and his fills were very unorthodox. If you were a right-handed drummer like I was you might have eventually figured this out because you couldn't start playing his fills with the right hand. He started them with the left. I love Ringo and he's one of my favorite drummers but drums are a rhythm instrument not a musical one, and I can understand why George Martin may have considered some of his playing to be awkward and out of place, but it was great that the Beatles kept him on those recordings because despite that problem, he added a lot of other things to recordings that were very unique and creative. Peace, Ringo! 🙂
Total crap. It was Paul who was the perfectionist and workaholic. George Martin being talked about being a perfectionist is pretty insulting as George Martin was the one who was pretty open minded to the Beatles ideas while the Beatles found that George Martin could get them new sounds with with oboe or violins. The Beatles had to be pretty disciplined in any case. George Martin took the Beatles on when others wouldn’t have given the Beatles the time of day. This video is ridiculously repetitive. There was friction on the White album as the Beatles lost some of their sense of doscipline

Informative, but no earth-shaking revelations; George Martin was a button-down lad and, as such, conflict was inevitable...
Good video, but it could have been half as long were all the repetition left out.
And what band didn't have "issues" with their producers at times.
Without Martin the Beatles might have just been another good band, but not great. Or a great band, but not the gods they became.
Sounds like Leonard Nimoy.
