@@jordangentsch9868 That's a solid question. I haven't been able to test it, but another guy commented that you get top heavy to charged top heavy.. You can get that off a Top heavy parry as well. And it is safe
I like the shugo rework cause I mean hes at least way more viable in duel modes and the ability to charge the second heavy makes him really dangerous in 4s with the heavy heavy chain. I wish they would have given him light light as well so there was some more mind games to the light attack followup but with the demons embrace mix up I dont think it ends up being much of a problem. The main thing ive seen complaints about is that his damage is too low, and I can definitely see where people are coming from with that, I do think they went just a little bit too far with the heavy damage, but imo its still not the worst thing in the world. Overall its a pretty solid rework. Shugoki's no longer complete trash, or boring to fight anymore, but at the same time hes not op (even though he deserved to be after all they put him through lol) I probably still wont play shugoki, he never was too interesting to me either way, but so far its been a lot more fun to play against for SURE.
I absolutely agree. He is much more fun to play against now and he has many new mindgames he can play, not just charge heavy and release at random times. His damage output seems too low as it is now. He is slow but does not get much damage in return for his effort. It's fun that you mention the Light, Light combo. I actually expected that he would had gotten a Light, Light combo, but I guess Lights will still just be used to shut down people.
His new moves definitely increase his viability in duels and tanks but yes I agree they went a little too far with the damage nerfs, I hope he get at least 5 back on his heavies and a they bring the critical back crack back but only too maybe 80% damage and recovery that would be dope
