Razer products never fails me.
My headphones just stopped working and now I need new ones. This looks like a solid choice because my old ones were cheap too, but sound and mic was perfect.
If your planning on getting this. You will not make a wrong move but to go for this one. probably one of the best budget Razer Headsets around for sure, light weight, very durable plastic materials and to top of that. Made purely for gaming as from Razer.
Do you personally think they are good headphones like the mic ?
hello there friend, to be honest they a descent pair of headphones such incredible sound with the bass that surrounds yours ears. The mic is really awesome they capture your voice very clearly! Unfortunately they dont have the independent mute button like the Kraken x normal edition. this is the LITE version of it. more budget friendly pair of Razers

Good for gaming, really bad for listening to music. If you have a smaller head I also wouldn't recommend these. Don't expect too much
what happens if you dont connect the headphones to your pc using the pc adapter, the mic won't work?
Hi there @J Valdes, it will work fine. with or w/out the adaptor all will be ok but for more effective use of the 7.1 use it. anyway; everything is in your hands though your decisions. Im just suggesting. thanks for watching
Why can I hear the audio outside of the headphones it leaks audio outside of them
Hello there friend, I think you might have some errors in your settings of PC if ever your playing on PC. If your playing on console then better checks some of the settings on audio itself. This is probably the best way to see if you have some settings wrong. If ever that everything is ok and it looks correct then better bring your headset back to your local store it might be "faulty item" It really happens sometimes. Because most people buy this unit without any problems it just so happened that yours is faulty and better get that warranty friend. make sure your subscribe to the channel and it will surely help out! stay safe friend

Hi @Exodus thank you! answer to your question is the mic detachable unfortunately its not. It stay permanent to the head set but you can just swing it away and turn the microphone volume all the way down. Lastly this is a new version of the kraken x line-up but to be update this has the same input as the other kraken x models; the only difference is this has no "mute button" switch you have to go all the way to your settings and turn you mic volume down and up to use it. further more sound quality is great.

hello there, If your using it for console like the ps4/ps5 simply plug it to the 3.5 mm jack to the controller. or using it to PC/laptop the same way but you have to install the Razer synapse program for it to work. If your headset still doesn't work better bring it back to your local store for warranty exchange the unit depending to what is the problem and warranty term from your local store. difference is that this is the "lite version" means it has some minor lesser button like the independent mute button. nonetheless it has also the 7.1 surround sound and light weight lastly 40mm drivers on both speaker of the headset

hello there, kraken x vs kraken x lite they both has 7.1 surround sound, quality cardiod mic, awesome base. only difference is lite has no dedicated MUTE button while the x has a button at the left ear cups.

Hi dear, Yes as long as your PC has the 3.5 mm jack to plug in the headset it should work fine. It one of the cheapest Razer headset with a quality mic that you can get

Hello there, I suggest you check your 7.1 surround sound settings. And download the razer software in Razer.com you can tweak your sounds there and also check yours CS go sound setting as well

hi there, unfortunately in this kraken x lite version; as it is the lite version it doesnt have the independent mute button & volume. But the regular kraken x version has it. They both have the 7.1 surround sound with THX spatial audio mix code in the box for free.

kraken x lite has no mute button, while the kraken x has one on the left ear cup. thats the only difference. performance and durability is mostly identical.

hello, 7.1 THX surround sound can be use to PC and install the software. unfortunately once you plug it in to your console ps4/ps5/xbox it will be surround sound and has a good balance sound not that 7.1 thx. But razer always performs exceptional sound clarity and mic.
why does mine have mic static and it picks up wind and other noises, do you know any fix for this? :(

What platform are you trying to use it for? if your using it with a controller like ps4 or xbox even nintendo switch it might be from not plugged in well. if your pc/laptop the fault might be in the socket of the computer. You may use the adopter with the head set it comes with it. If this things wont trouble shoot your problem maybe it's time to bring it back where you ordered it. The item might be faulty, This things happens.

I know the feeling of raging sometimes but lets not waste money and start breaking our head sets as it cost roughly 49$. hello there, Yes there is volume up and down, unfortunately it doesn't have the independent mute button that that normal kraken x has. but they have both the 7.1 surround sound and light weight plus universal 3.5 mm jack.

hello there, Try to unplug and plug it back. If that didn't work try to reinstall the Razer synapse program to your PC. If any of these didn't work then the Headset might be faulty and you better return it for exchange of new item. There are some cases like this. Return it to your local store or from wherever you got the unit from for the warranty.

Hi there, as of now im still using mine. still works perfectly. Maybe it how you use your headset thats why they break on some people. It really shows how you take care of your things it will last longer that it supposed to be though.

yes it work on any platform as long as it has the 3.5 mm jack. and it comes with a splitter of mic and audio output in the box.

I think that razer has a repputation of having bad mics. The mic on this is nothing special but its decent and it blocks out the noise

What is the difference between razer kraken x and razer kraken x lite?
the only difference is that the x lite has no mute/unmute button on the back left ear cups. but everything else is the same.

Try going through the volume settings in your PS4, You will see the volume level turn it all the way up, and also check your in-game settings it might be turned off or something. I've experience it in Call of duty Warzone sometimes
How do you turn on your mic cause im frm laptop and it dont detect the input but it does detect the output so i can hear but my mic isnt working. Hi there, for your case maybe its time to bring it back to your local store or go for the warranty. The unit that you have might be faulty and needs to be changed. There are really some items like that we cant control or prevent this from happening. It will go down to the store where you got it from on how they handle the products safely. hello there, its surprisingly it has no retractable mic its is fix but you can bend it away or put it down. Or just mute your mic on the settings of your PC or console if your not using it.

The regular kraken x and this x lite is the this is lighter in weight and this has improve mic updated one
the regular kraken x has controls on the side of the headphones, the lite version is much lighter and doesn't have any controls.

Yes it did for mine though. If your didn't got detected try to restart or redownload the synapse. and check your connection to the computer via wire.

Hi there friend, to answer your question is because this is the Kraken x "LITE" version thats why but in all aspect this has the same surround sound 7.1 to his bigger brother "kraken x"

Hello there, I think you can if you have the higher audio mixer with your phone and it will surely produce the same output. other than that this head set rig is powered by 40 mm drivers to both ear cups.

hello there, it is 7.1 once you installed the program to you PC and that THX audio is wonderful for sure. sadly for console like I am, it standard 5.1 but the sound is still amazing Razer products really is good and that mic is awesome.

International price in USD is around $40 now. It depends on your countries price and your local store deals. But this kraken x lite is surely worth your money and you'll never be wrong with a Razer product than settling with cheap and unknown brand that havent compete in competition global. Razer have been in Gaming world since way 2007 or earlier.
How tf do you mute the mic on console
hello there!, if your playing on consoles unfortunately the mic has no independent button to turn it on/off. But this is what I did to mine; I went to my ps4's mic menu and turned my mic volume all the way down and once I have party chat I just turned it to party chat and put the mic volume to 60% and it works pretty well buddy. hello there, As of right now of 2021 I still rock this headsets. But If you are tight with your budget and I still really recommend this razer x lite/ razer x. fro PS5/PS4 or xbox or PC gaming. But if you have spare cash to buy I suggest check my other review of Razer Kraken tournament Edition they have a great bass and sound clarity. because of the 50 mm drivers as this kraken x lite has a 40 mm drivers. but they still do the job done in terms of listening to music, watching, gaming and etc.

hello there @Saad albedah, try going to your setting on PS4 menu microphone setting and you should see the mic volume turn it all the way up. and In-Game setting as well. It might be muted in someway.

Hi there! to answer your question yes it works as long as you have the adopter or the toggle for the iPhone plug to 3.5 mm jack it will surely work but if you have the iPhone that still has the 3.5 mm jack then you will have no issues at all. This works to any platform of gaming. Mobile to PC to consoles.

Hi there, You may use the default settings to your PC/laptop or console to turn on/off the mic. Unfortunately this dont have a independent button for turning on/off the mic but it has a cardioid mic by Razer which makes it better than a 15-20$ headset that has RGB flashing. Razer is a product that really stands for what it does. Gets' the Job done and worth every penny of you money. how do I use them on ps4?
Hello there, you may directly plug it in to your dualshock ps4 controllers with the headset logo in. It should work perfectly, if ever you have issues try it to your phone or laptop/pc if there is any issues with the headset its time for you to redeem the warranty as it maybe "faulty item". Exchange for new pair of headset sometime it happened through the shipment not handling it safe.

Hi @Oliver mincher, unfortunately thier is "no": independent button for the mic it stay on every time. You have to go to you PC setting microphone volume and turn it all the way down. If your using it in console; Go to your setting in mic then turn it all the way down the same process. but the quality and sound are still good though.

hi, unfortunately there is no dedicated "mute button" for the mic you have to select it to your settings to mute the mic. In PC/Laptop just select your programs. In ps4 or Xbox you have to select settings and advance settings for your audio and select mic turn it all the way down.

hello there, @tube myth, unfortunately it doesn't go anywhere but you can bend it anywhere you want it to be. not just to the point you wanna break it and throw you money in the trash.

RblxNC&MC you can try to unplug and plus it in again. Or plus it in your phone. If it wont work. I suggest bring it back to you local store for exchange it might be damage or something.

RblxNC&MC the mic wont work in your pc? Maybe try to troubleshoot the program and restart. Another is maybe the plug is not all the way in. If it doesnt work. Bring it to your local pc shop or ask the shop that you bought the razer. It might be faulty item and probably they will replace it with new as long it’s under warranty period.

hello there @Vinay 1, Yes it will work for the next gen console. Sony and Xbox said it from the launched day. Second party head set developers are still in play to develop new gaming head sets. This razer will surely work 100% in ps5 bro.

hi friend, no it wont pick up the background noise since it has the cardiod microphone. One of the best things with Razer kraken line up it's pretty light weight and has the cardiod mic rather cheap mic with standard mic.
What's the material?
the material are plastic but the durable type, with soft cushions around the head band and super lightweight. Till now its function well and giving me some wins over fortnite & warzone

Hi there, buzzing noise once you plugged it in to your controller? maybe the port of your controller is damage or PC/ either way check them both. if the buzzing wont go try to plugged a normal head set. The razer kraken x lite might be the faulty, better bring it back where you got them and exchange it for new one if it is covered by the warranty. It happens sometime because of mishandling the products to the store or delivery.
